Overlord Challenge!

On the evening of April 1st, I had the pleasure of watching the challenge between Overlady Jaycy Ashleana and the Overlord Lucian.
Jaycy dueled nder the colors of forest green, silver and black.  Her Second was her co-hort and Wench Captainne, Mygaera Pacer.  She had no Lord of Honor.
Lucian dueled for the honor of House Oakenshield. Standing as his second was Baron Cassius Maximius and his lady of honor was Jonalyn Nenshen Starfare.

The challenge went a full three duels before a winner was decided.

In the first match, the challenger bested the Warlord, 5-4 in 12 rounds.

In the second match, the roles were reversed and it was the Overlord coming out on top by a final of 5-2 in 12 rounds.

It all came down to one final match. All the peanuts were on the line. The match remained tied for four rounds, and there was never more than a single point seperating the two until the very end. It was grueling. It was tiring. And in the end, only one would come out the winner, and the Overlord.

And that one was...

Me! Gah! I mean Jaycy.

The final match went 5-3 after 11 rounds in her favor, thus making her 43rd Overlord of the Duel of Swords. Congragulations to the two on a very hard fought series.

Afterwards, Baroness of the 12th, Ellisa Morgan declared herself Renegade to the new Overlord.

Baron of the 10th, Cassius Maximius and Baron of the 11th, Verceterix Favre declared themselves Loyal. All other Barons have one week to declare their alignment.

Jesse also placed an order for a double cheeseburger, large fries and a Coke. Var offered to Supersize it for him so I'm leaving that ball in his court.

It appears to have been a very grandly fought challenge by both parties. It would seem that the Overlord fought well and lent no disgrace to the title which he was defending, and that the challenger dueled very well and honoured the champion. That the challenger was successful can be no disgrace to Lucian, as he certainly made a grand effort and certainly
fulfilled his responsibilities as the Overlord to the utmost.
My congratulations to both combatants upon a very fine competition. My respect to the defeated, as he made a grand show of it. My thorough congratulations for the victor, as she very obviously fought her best.
