To all in the rings, particular those who hold title,

It has occurred to me, recently, during a moment when I have had little to do, to go ahead and actively peruse the list of Barons in the Arena at this time. Currently, all 12 rings are held by Barons. Five of these Barons are Loyal to Cletus, seven are Renegade. There are no Neutrals. This would seem to indicate a dramatic polarization of views regarding the Overlord, and yet I do not see it. For that matter, I do not see a great deal of activity
regarding the rings themselves either. True, it is early in the cycle, but I would still hope to see a significant increase in activity after Cletus faces Dustin. With seven Renegade Barons, one would think that at least one or two would feel the need to remove the Overlord they oppose. With Renegade Barons outnumbering Loyal Barons, one would seem to think that Cletus had more opposition than support, but one could not tell simply by looking. I have
not been able to observe much difference between Loyals and Renegades. One supposed Renegade even became Loyal as soon as challenged, apparently so Cletus could act on a private grudge.
There seems to be a certain lack of vocality among the supporters and opponents of this particular Overlord alike. This is something that disappoints me, as one would think that more people would be interested in sharing their beliefs and acting upon their loyalty or opposition. While I have heard people express, privately, their disappointment in the makeup of our current roster of Barons, I have not seen as much done about it as I would expect.
Instead I see and sense a great amount of apathy.
While I understand that apathy, and have felt it myself in the past, I think that it is time to break that atmosphere of unfeeling. If you think someone is a poor Baron, challenge! If you oppose Cletus, challenge him! If you support him, say so! And act on your words! If all you are doing, either as a Baron or a Warlord, is marking time rather than taking part in the events around you, then you are in the wrong place.

Simply Percy,
Just because someone doesn't approve of the overlord doesn't mean they want the title themselves. While I can understand how you think they should at least show disapproval, I personally do not like to challenge for a title just because I can. It's the same reason why I don't enter the warlord's tourney: if it's something I don't want, I won't go for it.
If I remember correctly, you didn't like how Jesse tossed the fourth ring after he won it from Huma. I guess I'm just asking for clarification. Do you want someone to challenge for a ring and then throw it away because they don't want it, but just to show disapproval of the particular title holder? I don't think you do, but that's pretty much the only feasible solution to keep everyone happy.
But at the same time, it's been said I'm "obsessed with a ring" and remember you voicing your disapproval when I won it back at the tourney. Maybe I get confused too easily, but on one hand, you want people to challenge to show disapproval/to gain a title. You want them to hold onto the title. Yet, once someone chooses not to go after something that does not interest them, they are out of place? Maybe I'm reading too much or just
misunderstanding, but it just seems you're saying either we just challenge because we can or we leave because we're not making the place interesting.

However, since you're calling on people to voice their opinions of Cletus, I'll voice mine. I trust him. I also enjoyed poking fun at him and him poking fun at me. I'd be loyal if I were a baron.

Duke Marchand,

I did give a promise that I would nae pursue a challenge against the current Overlord for a set period of time which is nearly over.
I was asked to do this to give the current Overlord and those who stood with him a chance to, in one person's words, "change things for the better"

I have seen no sign of these changes. I have seen no evidence of any attempts being made to make things better.

For all the faults attributed to her, at least the Lady Jaycynda made attempts at improvements. She wast stimied by the Council, however.

To the one who asked this promise of me: Dinnae make promises in another's name if ye are nae sure that person will fulfill them
