To The Overlord and the Baron Rynth

It is my understanding that the Baron Evan Rynth, some time ago, lost a duel on which he had wagered his ring. Supposedly, if defeated, he was to retire said ring. I have spoken to enough people to believe what I have heard on the subject. This ebing the case, why is Evan Rynth still a Baron? Does his own word mean so little to him that he
would fail to honour his wagers? Why is he still allowed to stand Loyal to the Overlord? Does Cletus Ganderfald truly desire to accept the loyalty of those whose word means so little? I believe this is an instance that requires a leadership role by our Overlord.
Cletus, what do you intend to do?

>Evan, instead, threw the ring against a wall and broke it. According to him,

>the ring.

To the best of my knowledge, it is not possible for any of us to destroy a Baronial ring anymore than any of us can damage the Inn itself. I doubt that the ring was actually broken. However, I do think that if the ring was actually resigned than the staff needs to do something. If it was not actually resigned, then the Overlord should do something.

I can't answer most of your questions, Percy. However, I can confirm the story.
In early May, Evan offered Ramsus a duel in which they would put their rings at stake. Ramsus was a bit hesitant at first but finally agreed to the bet.
I called the match and, according to my records, Ramsus defeated Evan 5-4 in 9 rounds.
Ramsus told Evan to give the ring to me so that I could make sure it got to Nych. Evan, instead, threw the ring against a wall and broke it. According to him, it was his magical little way of sending it to Nych. Nych has never received the ring.

I guess I didn't make that very clear. I had several other rings so I wasn't watching very carefully but, according to Evan, he didn't destroy the ring. It was his way of sending it back to Nych.
I know it sounds crazy and, truthfully, I didn't see that part of the incident. I'm just relaying what Evan told Ramsus and I.

Apparently, you don't remember the Methous-Aspen situation with the Eighth. If Evan Rynth purposely destroyed his ring like Methous did, he should recieve the same penalty as Methous did.

If what Evan did is indeed true, then he should face the same penalty for simple disrespect for the sport and the title as Methous did. Also, if so witnessed and the implication implied by Evan to Charlie, then I would say the ring is considered vacant and awaiting to be filled at the next Warlord
tourney. A shame if this happened in May that this wasn't promptly taken care of to have been available for the last tourney.
