The calling staff of the Duel of Swords would like to congratulate Karen Wilder for being awarded this week's "Duelist of the Week", the first woman to take this honor.

Karen Wilder and Lorance Sneggle produced the first tie in the Duelist of the Week voting. In accordance with the Duelist of the Week guidelines, their past week's dueling record was taking into consideration. Karen won 78% of her duels this past week while Lorance only won 50% so Karen is this week's winner.

Karen went 7-2 this past weekend and overtook the third ranked spot in the Warlord Rankings. Her victims' list for this past weekend included: Anubis, Cory Havoick, and Morgan Redheart.

Karen and Lorance also dueled twice, splitting the victories. Lorance defeated Karen, 5.5-1 in 10 rounds while Karen gained a 5-3 victory over Lorance in 7 rounds. The two were obviously quite evenly matched this past weekend.

In recognition for her outstanding dueling, Karen's drinks for the up coming week will be on the house. Congratulations, Karen!

In the "Don't Give Up Until G's Ex-Wife Sings" category, Mystic came back from a 4-0 deficit against the former overlord, Marzan, to end the match after fifteen rounds in a 5-4.5 tie. Congratulations to him as well.
