"Who tests the testers for their motivation?"
I worry about you, Sneggle.
Their motivation doesn't matter one bit. These aren't elected officials. They don't owe you any explanations.

Charlie,
Seriously, if someone wants to involve themselves in a challenge match it seems only fair that they put their cards on the table as to the why of it.
In most challenge matchs there is at least a reason given, even if its little more than "I want what you got".
So, whats wrong with asking someone why they want to intercede or be interceded for?
Now if your going to worry about me than I will quit worrying myself. No point in both of us worrying.

I wish to defend the Overlord I am Loyal to, Lorance, and I feel he is a much better Overlord than Xeric is a baron. Already, Seamus has tried to get the community and the barons involved.
That is why I wish to step in for Seamus. Whether or not he wishes to accept my offer is up to him; I trust his judgment.
My apologies for not clearing this up in my initial missive. I simply didn't consider the need to explain my position, and understand I am in no way trying to hold a secret stance.

I felt like challenging.
Is that good enough?

"So, whats wrong with asking someone why they want to intercede or be interceded for?"
Because you made it sound like they had to have a good reason for interceding by asking who was testing their motives. They don't have to have a good reason. They don't have to have any reason at all.
They can intercede simply because they want to and they don't have to answer to you. If you want to ask them why then do so. Just don't try to be clever by asking who is testing the testers motivation. Leave the witty comments to the people who are actually good at it.

You know, you never did state exactly why you wanted to challenge me, other than that you didn't like me.

My answer is much like Var's, with the addition that I think Xeric's behavior upon becoming a Baron was quite disgraceful and I haven't seen any improvement since. I also think that Seamus is going to show a combination of leadership and resctability from the Overlord's position that we haven't really seen since Avery. I don't think someone like Xeric would be a
fit replacement.

Seamus,
I fully understand that anyone who has the requisite wins, etc can challenge for any or no reason.
I was interested in the motivation of those who wanted to intercede for or aginst you. It was and is something I am curious about. I also recognize that no one has to satisfy my curiousity
Var did me the courtesy of explaining why he was interested, for which I thanked him.
Percy also did the same for which I also thank him.
If I came off as being abrasive it was not my intent.

Charlie,
I cannot help it if you feel my remarks as an attempt to be clever.
I asked a question and both Var and Percy did the courtesy of replying. As far as I am concerned, that answers my question and I appreciate their answers.

Boring,
Look...whoever you are, kid..
it seems that people don't like you. That's amusing in and of itself. Should the Test crop up during your challenge though, let me know, I'll fight it for you, no problem...it will be a hell of alot more fun pounding you into the ground than the current "hero". Dismantling someone no one likes is great for PR, even if they don't like me to begin with.
