A return to the rings

To my fellow patrons of DoS,
Many of you probably do not know me, for I have been absent from the rings a great many months. I truly have missed all of my friends, and foes for that matter. It would take much too long to recount the numerous paths I've walked over the years, so suffice it to say that I've been away for good reason, and return to all of you a better person than when I left. No harm has come to me and I've enjoyed the vacation, which I spent with my loving
wife and terrific children. But, this place has meant far too much to me, and I couldn't leave it behind forever.
I am grateful to have an opportunity to cross blades with those of my past. From the looks of our current standings, many of my closest friends and greatest adversaries still partake in this glorious sport. I look forward to the coming week, so that I might share an ale and a duel with those I use to greet on a daily basis. Fear not, Chaos has acquired a mighty thick coat of rust, and my tired bones don't move quite as fast as they use to
::pauses a moment to smile within:: Despite any lack of skill I might exhibit in the days to come, I promise that my honor has not deteriorated in the same manner. So with that, I wish to all my fellow duelers: Skill and honor, I will have a joyous time fighting in the hallowed arena once again!
Sincerely,
Jeffrey Oakenshield
Head of House Oakenshield
PS: If nothing else, my common tongue has improved during the respite from combat ::grins to himself again:: But da lot of ya still callin' me Stumpy are gonna get a whippin'.

Jeff,
Welcome back, old friend. It is good to see you back among our ranks, and I look forward to crossing your path soon. Best of luck to you in your return and well wishes to Summer and the children.
sincerely,
Lord Dalamar Ar'Daumon
P.S. I'm afraid you're going to have to try to give me a whipping, since I doubt I can keep from calling you Stumpy, Stumpy.

Hey, Stump
Glad you're back. We thought Rix ate you. Don't do us any favors by winning too much.

"Ugh."
Janella snorted and headed to the Inn after reading the latest news.
