On the fourteenth eve of June and within the confines of the Annex to the Dueling Arena, I did bear witness to the challenge of the Warlord Karen Wilder and the Baron of the 11th ring of the Duel of Swords, Verceterix Favre.
The Baron and Warlord were both without Seconds in the matter.
Karen dueled under a banner of a white cross within a red field and with blade rather than pool que.
The Barons colors were Crimson and Black, he dueled with the sword Icebreaker, anf for the honor of Alanna Saint Reynolds.

With all parties announced they began the first of two matches.

Each cut low in round one, the danced away in the second.
The third round had Karen picking off the Baron's low cut for a full point with a fine parry.
Four allowed RIx to the tie the macth as he thrust over Karen's low cut.
The pair traded in the fifth as Karen reveresed her cut and cut low.
Successfully landing the tri-cut in six , gave Karen a lead of 3-2 tripping up the high stepping Baron.
Seven was an exercise in defence as Rix stop hit and Karen parried high.
Eight had the Baron tying the match at 3 with a fine circ parry which denied the thrusting advance of the warlord.
Nine gave Rix the lead as he slid a cut in lower than the fine parrying defence by the warlord and then he secured the win in the tenth as he landed a high cut over a failed stop hit by the warlord.

After a brief respite, the duo began anew.
Karen took the early lead by picking off Rix's high cut in one.
Rix wasted no time in bringing the match back to even with an equally impressive lat parry that denied Karen's thrust.
He then ducked under her finest circ parry to take the lead in 3.
Karen came back in four to score with a thrust over Rix's low cut.
In five, Rix moves ahead once more as he thrusts over Karen's low cut.
Six found Karen ducking into RIx's low cut
Seven was a non event as Karen stop hit while Rix spuns a high parry.
Eight had Karen inching closer and trapping Rix's high cut with a fine lat for a point.
Nine showed us that Karen was tiring as she turned a simple circ parry to deny the thrust by the Baron. 4-3.5 the Baron led.
In Ten, Karen lunged forward and was trapped by the Baron's stop hit and the match ended her, the Baron retaining the ring in a pari of ten round duels.

A note for the records thanks to a tid bit given me by the Roman Cassius Maximus, had this ring changed hands, it would have been the first time in 3 years it was done so by the hand of a challenger.

Below are the stats of the match for those who are concerened
