Damn,

The I.Q. level of the Baronies keep dropping lower and lower with each new Baron.

What's next?

Guill as Overlord?

You.

You feet will not touch the ground.

You would go so far to profane The Seventh? You would go Renegade in its name? You with no choice but to hide behind the coattails of the Overlord?

Oh yes, I have returned, and not at an inoportune time it would seem.

Enjoy your reign, stripling Baron, because the true Baron of The Seventh has returned to the realm.

Enjoy it while you can boy.

I am,
Adonai Uziel
Twice Baron of the Seventh

I seem to recall one Adonai Uziel, a Renegade Baron, who caused an uproar by declaring a challenge to the Overlord.

Welcome home, Uz.

G,

I would make a great Overlord, and eventually I will be the Overlord. Scary huh?

Adonai,

Mal will make a fine Baron, better than some to be sure.

Why all the loud talking and trashing? If you want a shot at Mal go get it.

::On a brief break from his duties as Regent, he comes back to the place he was so fond of. He'd rather no one see him so he descended into the basement after-hours. A few notes decorated the cork, and one caught his eye. He read it and then immediately began laughing outloud and penned a short not::

Like Colleen, I remember an Adonai Uziel as well. However, the one I remember was someone who preferred to shoot their mouth off and then was inadequate at backing it up. Then, at the first hint of defeat, that Adonai turned tail and ran away instead of manning-up. It seems Adonai has returned.

Valheru,
Remember my words well. The Seventh was never yours and it never will be. That ring has had many a better holder than you, Oakenshield and Morgan just to name two. The ring belongs to the Sport as I said before, and I will say again. Personally, the newest Baron leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, but if you take the Ring, I will have to give up my own and come and take it from you again.

Gonorrhea,

Shut Up. And I mean that in the ugliest
way possible.

As for what's next...didn't you plan on getting a ring? Why would you make the problem worse?

To Rasmus,

Bah, stick it in your ear, kid.

Then the rest of the notes...

Adonai's back. Yay. Now I can look forward to a lot of no sense ranting, self ego inflating, bragging, wanna-be badass, occassional crybaby antics, and delusions of self granduer.

I should take a vacation in order to avoid his nonsense easier.

Welcome back. And by the way, just cause you held the Seventh, doesn't make you the "true" holder. I echo everything Daelin said. There's much better holders than you.

Sneggle,

You'd make an idiot Overlord.

::the young soldier stops briefly to read recent missives on his way home. With a sigh and a shake of the head, he reads a number of notes and then takes a moment to write one of his own::

To whom it may concern,

I write as one who has respect for both the new Baron of the Seventh and the old, and as one who has a great regard for both as individuals and as duelists. I was present for both challenge matches and can speak with confidence about the events of this challenge. Master Vawn put up a strong and spirited defense, but judging from firsthand experience the man who fought the better fight was rewarded with posession of the Seventh. Vawn is a very strong
duelist, for whom I have utmost respect, and who shall no doubt go on to win many more accolades within and without the ring. However, regardless of whether you may like or dislike Malhavoc, he proved with his blade that he is as worthy to wear the ring as many who have done so in the past, and more so than a good number.

Is the office of Baron subject to the whims of popularity or character, or does it rest purely on the skill of the holder as a fighter? If the latter is true, I fail to see how any can fault Malhavoc, who won his ring in fair and skillfully executed combat.

If this missive offends in any way, I apologize. However, I would feel remiss in my duty as a member of this community, and as a friend of Malhavoc, if I failed to so write.

With regards,
Arithon Falessan

Sneggle,

>>I would make a great Overlord, and eventually I will be the Overlord. Scary huh?<<

I'll buy the entire arena clientel their drinks for a month if you defeat Dal and become Overlord.

>>Mal will make a fine Baron, better than some to be sure. <<

I have nothing against Mal and wish him well.

>> Why all the loud talking and trashing? If you want a shot at Mal go get it. <<

You don't know Adonai, do you? That's just how he is, loud and abrasive. He's never done anything to me, therefore, I have no personal grievances with him.

"Forgive my perhaps lack of knowledge, but how is a Baron who has chosen the alignment of Renegade hiding behind the coattails of the Overlord?

Perhaps I am misunderstanding the phrasing?"

I think he means the new Baron would have no chance to remain Baron unless he were to "hide behind the coattails of the Overlord."
