Ladies and Gentlemen of DoS, After going through times of adventure, and living in hardships, I have come to a new view of the world. Some may disagree, some may agree, and some may ignore this altogether. If you are eager to share your view, feel free to. We are all perfect, yet it is the people of the world who make us not perfect. There are thugs and killers out there, who make money by killing. To an individual, this thug might have a quality that is needed for something special. However, it is the people who do not like killing, who does not follow the life of a killer. The question is, who is right? A philosopher, by the name of Socrates asked many questions. What is truth? What is honor? Now the question is, what is right, and what is wrong? You, as an individual, are right. You live by your own morality, and you make your own judgement. I cannot say I agree with killing, yet does that make it wrong for someone to kill? Lately, there are so many different perspectives, we cannot see straight. It is this reason why we must become an individual. You become your own person, because you know by your own standards what is right. There are many paths to every decision. You mighttake a path, you think is wrong, afterwards. A way to recover is to make the decisions you, and you only, think are right. To conclude this, I just want to say do not give in to peer pressure. You get hurt, in the long run... and others who worry about you, will get hurt. Sincerely, ± Var Medici-Giovanni::The crossed off tombstone "±" symbolizing his desire to preserve life::

::picks up a pen, strangely motivated to add her own beliefs::As I see it~Killing someone/thing can't be absolute. Some governments still execute people; mine's getting away from that but it's been done in the past. And if someone's trying to kill you, do you have the right to kill them? What if they'd kill someone else if you didn't kill them first? Nothing can be resolved as a code for everyone in every situation. But killing for fun and killing because it's necessary are entirely different things. I'm a knight,I've killed people before. Some were about to kill me. Some were trying to kill others. And some were just on the other side when my country went to war. But not one of them was a target or a game or just for "fun". No, this is not a lecture, it's just my view on things.~Ally St. Reynolds::walks away thinking about the words of her village healing-woman... "If you kill, Alanna, you must heal as well.." and hoping she has so far kept Maude's word to heart by using what skills she could to help when possible::

Quickvar,
I agree that each of us has his/her own perspectives and meanings of honor. One man's honor may nay be another's. Such tis the way of life. ::grins::
So, interested on different views? Me definition of honor is to be true to thyself. In my eyes, all of us are philosophers to a certain degree. We all choose to live by certain codes. Tis when we follow codes of another, we find unhappiness at our doorstep. We should follow our own. Tis a good thing to always be in control of oneself and we control who should control us, so be it.
There now ....tis me view of sharing.
And to everyone else.......wishing the best of the forthcoming holidays, however, ye decide to celebrate them.....and the best of forthcoming days for those who do nay celebrate but are only happy and thankful just to be living another day.
