She thought she felt the tenderness of a warm kiss upon her cheek. Impossible. As Cygnet Seraphin woke, she arched her back into the familiar feather conforter that covered her sleigh bed. As she raised graceful, pale arms up and outward, her face tensed visably. Blinking open sleepy eyes, her hands jerked to the odd material that covered her body. Sitting upright and tugging the dark cover, she bunched a small part of it up in her hand and looked at it. Panicing at the most unfamiliar teal colored material made of aheavy wool weave, she swung her legs over the matress edge, gasping with relief seeing she still wore her white seuede dress breeches, and the billowing, brushed raw silk sleeves of her blouse flowing downward, as she sat. "For heavens sake", she blurted out, looking about the one room cottage as if someone where there. She was alone. Of course she was alone. She stood and shook out the woolen cover only to find it was a mans cloak! A large mans cloak at that. Her visage startled with wonder, she examined the fine outer garment closely. She bounded over to the front door and peered out the window... nothing. She then spun around and paused, looking at the tri-paneled changing screen that also concealed her bathing tub. Cocking her head so to see around the corner, she moved cautiously over to it...but no one was hiding behind the screen, least a large man.She tried to remember what happned last night, but her mind was like a clean canvas waiting for hundreds of strokes of colors and textures from the divine Artist's hands himself. She looked down at the cloak and saw, in the collar where the hood seam is gathered, the deep teal thread of embroidered initials, HDCM .The seraph angel stood there, the cloak clutched firmly in her right hand, her left hand raising slowly to her cheek... soft, pale ... her fingers gently touching where she dreamed the warmest of kisses before she woke. Her brow pitched slightly, eyes pensive. Was it a dream?, she wondered.

:: The Scott, sitting in an overstuffed chair in front of the fireplace in his cottage drifts in and out of sleep for some time befor his mind goes black and his pulse and breathing slow, drifting into the world of slumber::

::almost as naturally as he slipped into unconsciousness he is jolted out his slumber and back to reality......or was this reality??::

:: the surroundings were not that of his cottage nor was he draped in the robe that he swears he remembered changing into seemingly moments before.......the surroundings that he was seeing either in his minds eye or in his eyes themselves, were that of the arena and to him he had passed into an event that was already happening.................::

::standing next to Cygnet and hearing her cry out..." forget......forget......." his urge to coax her to block out the painfull memories that were tormenting her slipping from his mouth as if he had no control at all over then::

Forget.....let it go.............

:: as Cygnets eyes make the slow and deliberate ascention into her head and her body goes limp He finds himself catching her and lowering her slowly to the floor.::

:: the whole scene playing out before him, yet having the feeling that it was his body but he was not controlling it.....someone else was.......::

::having experienced this only one time before when his life was in jeopardy, and that time too while he was sleeping::

::Jolted awake....or back to reality the next morning....... by the soft cries of Britain his son, he shakes his head and sits for a moment pondering wether it was a dream or some sort of reality, not totally understanding what had just happened but set on discussing the matter with Drak to find out.......::

:: the large golden brown dragon alights on the street outside the arena and in the shadows he crouches low...his golden eyes beginning to glow ::

:: the flash of light casting a strange silhouette on the walls across the alley as the creature slowly becomes engulphed in a sphere of bright green light::

:: as the light dissipates the silhouette on the adjacent walls has strangely changed as he takes on a familiar human form::

:: for the next few hours he is present in the arena appearing to all who sees him as Heath MacCormack........having donte this often when Heath was away, and at his friends request as well.....he was merely doing his job of looking out for his friend and his family, and enjoying the opportunity to be out and about in a slightly less conspicuous form, and one that could bring a bit of pleasure.::

:: as Cygnet began to fade into what he thought a deep depression of some form of hysteria, he felt; within the link that was always there when he assumed the form of his friend Heath, that he was falling into a slumber, and that he would be "present" for the events that would follow, knowing that this is the only time that this happened.......when he slept......::

::coaxing the angelic being to let go of that which tormented her so, that which apparently caused her such pain, and aiding with his magical ability as she fought to wipe the memories that pained her so from being::

Forget.......let it go...........:: he coaxed as she too chanted the words...." forget........forget....."::

::Cygnet faded into unconsiousness and fell into his arms which lowered her gently to the ground. Sitting and watching her for a moment before realizing that she must be made as comfortable as possible, he removed the cloak that was about his neck and wrapped her in it and gently lifted her off of the floor, moving out into the night and the samne shadows that he had transformed himself a short time before in::

:: as quickly as he made the change in the foirst he was returned to his drakonian form. This accomplished he lifter the angel into his arms and after unfurling his great wings lifted into the night sky::

::alighting softly on the grass outside Cygnets abode and shifting once more to his human form he carried her inside and placed her gingerly into her bed, covering her with the cloak and placing a gentle kiss apon her cheek before leaving, returning to drakonian form and again lifting on great wings into the night sky returning to the valley and to his own dwelling place::

::the cloak covering the angel marked with the initials HDCM.....would soon change to the initials DV apon the waking of Heath, as this was the cloak of the dragon and would only remain in the changed state as long as Heath slept::
