Brute of the Week Awards ( RDI Kyttn )
Date: 3/23/1998 11:30 AM Central Daylight Time
From: RDI Kyttn
The task was hers for a month. Hand out the magnificent Brute of the Week award. She remembered once long ago being given the honor. Back then, there were no actual awards, it was something just spoken about in the rings and for which one received pats on the back, smiles, the 15 minutes of fame that made ya feel warm and invincible inside. She laughed a soft chuff as she polished the buckle on her cotton cut off tee and sauntered upto GreyStripe an honorable fighter in the Glass ranks, and smiled. She took his palm and slapped the buckle into it gently. "You won it for the dueling week of the 11th through the 14th, pal. Well done." Then the cat-woman padded away, feeling particularly good.

Brute of the Week Awards (RDIKyttn) 3/18-21
Date: 3/23/1998 11:56 AM Central Daylight Time
From: RDI Kyttn
"Congratulations to Jedi9586!" Kyt called as she darted into the Outback. "Brute of the week and Duel of Fists newcomer! Well done, Jedi. Managing to score against a more experienced opponent is remarkable, beating him is exceptional. This is for you." Kyttn handed over the shining award for stictuitiveness in the rings and smiled a warm nearly human smile. "Again well done and we hope to see more of you in the rings." She padded to bar and wondered who'd be next.

Brute of the Week Awards (RDIKyttn) 3/25-28
Date: 4/3/1998 5:06 PM Central Daylight Time
From: RDI Kyttn
"Faile Bladesong!" The Felinoid called as she entered the Outback at the end of the week's dueling. "The Brute of the Week was a difficult choice for me this time around... since there were many who showed prowess in the rings. But I looked at the heart of the award and thought that a newcomer who would battle the first time out through five duels to only win one yet was not discouraged enough by the losses to quit, deserved tobe called the Brute."Congratulations." She deposited the award with the Brute of the Week and padded away.

"Perhaps this will be known as the month of the old timers," Kyttn muttered under her breath, but said so with a smile. The awarding of the Brute of the Week was an interesting focus for the cat. Her mind used to be so much on the dueling rather than the patrons when she was in the Outback. These days many things kept her from dueling, but handing the Brute of the Week out was making her look into the patrons and into the workthey did when in the rings as much as the overall duels themselves. She enjoyed it a great deal. The new buckle shined as she carried it over to Huma Evilbane, Bane0fEvil, or Bane as he was known in the rings. Smiling she handed it to him and merrrowed in her throat. "Well done," she said, and that was enough.

Perhaps it was due to her personal feelings of friendship, but when Kyttn saw that three of her fellows had mentioned Nova's prowess in the rings recently, she polished up a brand new award for him. One time Opal, Emerald and long time dueler, Nova was a good dueler. It was good to see him remember that and to win again in an impressive 4 our of 5 duels fought in one night. Sometimes, the old guys deserve a boost... "Congratulations Nova," she whispered and went to give him the BoW award.

The cat, being sometimes lazy and often simply disorganized smiled apologetically to Kahlil (Cntrayst17) when she found the artist/dueler from the Magnesium Isle. Handing over the belt buckle, she murmured, "A hearty Congratulations!" and ran off to hide her embarrassment at giving out the award so late.

Kyttn padded up to the really tall elf, looking way way way up and handed him a shiny new Brute of the Week award as she smiled. "But MoneyBlade, that's not all! No no... for someone with as many new rule proposals as you've made, we've also included this fancy new writing implement called a PEN! That's right, a PEN! Be amazed as the point doesn't break away when you scribble your missives of wisdom!"With a Cheshire smile, the cat turned her long tail and raced away to hide behind the nearest kiosk.

Re: Brute of the Week Awards (RDIKyttn) 4/29 - 5/2 Skyekar
Date: 5/9/1998 2:47 PM Central Daylight Time
From: RDI Kyttn
Kyttn padded into the outback, ever grateful to Robert for all the really neato words he's taught her over time - though she wasn't thinking of that at that moment. She was looking for Skye, the raven haired lady who'd dueled time and again and seemed to lose more than she won, but was really hanging in there. The Brute of the Week wasn't just about winning, it was about heart and persistence and being there. This week it was for Skye. As she spied her, she called out, "Skye! Congratulations! This is for you." She presented her with the buckle, like each, engraved on the back with the date, and smiled, then drifted away.

Re: Brute of the Week Awards (RDIKyttn) 5/6 - 5/9 Granith
Date: 5/16/1998 4:57 PM Central Daylight Time
From: RDI Kyttn
Kyttn padded through the Outback looking for Granith, the brute beltbuckle in her hands, polished, shiny ready for the one who had dueled his heart out that week and gotten two shut-outs in the process. Sometimes it was sheer push that won the award and impressed the other duelers. This time, Granith had done it. "Well done!" Kyttn said when she'd found him and passed on his award, shaking his hand. "Well done indeed, Granith. May your fists ever fly!" She didn't quite realize the clever twist of phrase that was at the time she said it. Kyttn smiled and headed for the locker room, some plans to do a bit of flying of her own on her mind.

Date: 5/17/1998 4:30 AM Central Daylight Time
From: Zalenar
With a small smile playing over his usually passive lips Zale watched from the backround. At the hearing of Kyttn he inclined his head in a nod of agreement. Knowing that though he wasn't around much this week to watch all the duels, Granith is always a scrapper, week in and week out. Always pushing on, even if the duels are not always going to his liking. With a movement of his head, his golden hairfalling playfully about his eyes, he speaks up. His tone loud enough to be heard across the room from his vantage point in the backround. Congratulations Granith.......This tis an award.....The deserves greatly.....As ye...Are always there.....For the relaxtion of the dueling....I think ye called it....That one time we talked.....I'm disappointed...I got to miss this week for the most part.....I surely would have liked to watch.....But...I am sure ye did a grand job.....Congrats....And see ye in the Outback sooon......... Another nod of approval of his head as he pushes off from where he stood at a wall. Quietly taking steps to lead him away toward his Castle.
