Duel of Fists Patrons
Throughout about 4 1/2 years of Duel of Fists, there has been 11 different Diamonds in which some of them were two or even three. There has been a tradition of making a speech on the boards when becoming a Diamond and in turn am posting my speech for all of you.
I have been dueling in Fists for about a year and a half. My life has gone through many different changes as I have experienced many situations. Not all due to Fists, but the point is that the people here have influenced me to be the best person that I can be. Every day of my life I think of how wonderful it is to be with my friends here in this place behind the Arena.
In July, I won the Diamond and held it for about 10 minutes while two speeches were made. The first speech by Ms. Shannon Colton. In her speech, she insulted me horribly. But the reason for the insult was tollerable. Earlier that evening I had feinted a move to win a match, but in return did not gain the advantage needed to win the duel, but eventually won it. This was my first Diamond Quest and the first time I had tried the feint on the last
point to try and win. And when Shannon made her speech, she insulted me without telling me why. She did however, tell me later why she had done so and I had agreed with her.
Last night, when I went into the ring with Falablah Dalegate, I did not expect this feint to shine. When the match came to 4 - 4, Falablah feinted his block making the score 4+ - 4+. Instantaneously I assumed that Fala would feint again to gain another advantage. So, in turn, I feinted so if he feinted then the advantage would be gone and it would be 4 - 4. But if he had gone offensively, it would have been 5 - 5, giving another round.
Unexpectedly, Fala fancied his dodge and the advantage left was put onto my advantage already there making the score 5 - 4.
Now, if I had going defensive to gain the advantage needed, then Fala would have scored with the Fancy Dodge and would have made it 5 - 4 in his favor. One thing I regret doing was thinking about this long and hard. I made an instantaneous reaction in which I should have gone offensive which would have either given me the point if I won the round or split the point if he feinted. But as stupid as I was, I feinted in order to stop him from
feinting to gain that advantage.
I want to make it known that what I did was stupid and it was not intentional in that I was not trying to gain the advantage needed, but instead was looking to stop Fala from gaining the advantage. I apologize greatly for what I have done and am deeply sorrowful towards Falablah.
Fala-
You are a fine dueler and highly respected. You hold honor and loyalty within your heart and sole and many admire that about you. This is my reason for accepting you into the House of Asgard for that is what it is all about. I apologize to you in the farthest extent for what I have done and hope that you can accept it.
