2nd RIng- 8th Defense or not?

On this night with clear skies above and the twinkling of stars in the distance, I did stand upon the Battlefield and preside as two came to the ring to battle for the right to wear the 2nd ring.

One did come on this 6th day of the 1st month called for the 8th time to defend that which he won in battle almost a full turning of the calenders ago. The Baron AJ Bird of Ballentyne did come to the ring accompanied by his beautiful wife the Lady Sher, and in his corner as she has stood from the beginning was the warlady Spikushell.

Stepping forth to challenge upon this moonlit night was the Elven Warlord EVAN he was accompanied by the Lady Lexi.

The warlord fought with his finely crafted longsword, and the baron fought with his Zenoblade.

The duel didst proceed as follows

Round AjayBird2 MDickey586 Score
====== ========== ========== =====
1 TH FSS 0-1
2 HC LC 1-2
3 LC FSS 2-2
4 TH LC 3-2
5 LC SL 4-2
6 FDU HC 5-2

And thus the baron insures that he will have held the ring for a full turning of the months with his record 8th defense. Both dueled with honor, and may there names be sung in the annuls of the history of this sport.

Respectfully,

RDI Mathia

Congrats on a fine Defense baron. My regrets on not being on hand to call or cheer you on.

::seeing the results of the challenge and the news that his brother bird did win he breaks into a Scottish jig whooping and hollering::

::realizing that there might be some around to witness the spectacle he stops as he also realizes that in his dance he would have put on "quite a show" for any onlookers::

::reserves himself and tacks up a congratulatory missive to AJ::

Brother.........the desire of yer heart did come true.......yer name is in the history books and ya haf held the ring for an entire year. CONGRATS brother....may ya suffer through another eight defenses and another year......

Laughing gaily as she catches a glimpse of Heath cavorting and jigging, she darts around the big Scot, snagging the quill and jots a quick note.

Baron Bird,

Grandly defended, and, indeed, one for the history.

Jona

With a wink to Heath, "Och, cavortin' so, in a kilt?" , she darts away, a merry twinkle in her sea blue eyes.
