Left upon the Outback's announcement board is the following - including some blots:
The mistakehonor of officiating the Duel of Fists' Red Opal Tournament was mine. I will summarize the tourney, and relate, here, its bloody highlights. Due to the fact that this announcement is signed by my hand in a paidboughtsanctioned capacity, I will exercise great restraint in keeping factsmy personal opinions to myself regarding this absurd desire that some of you seem to have for a collection of obviously vilemagicked and accursed stones that will surely bring foul horrorsdeath upon any who contrive to bloody hold them.
This black Tournament, as stated above, was held in order to stickfind a suitable holder for the Red Opal, otherwise known as 'Firestar'.
The competitors who assembled for this battle were as follows, in 'seeded' order: Jesse Troyan, Robert Braxxx, Harris D'Artainian and Layne Jenkins. Kaza had the sensecrust not to show. For the record, Kaza, I we waited for your blasted
arse.
Double elimination. The first two bloody matches were rather close, ending five to four, respectively. Braxxx took a loss courtesy of Harris, and Layne fedshoved Jesse's start of a *three* point lead down his proudthroat, and served up a good comeback to take the fight.
The third duel saw Jesse take out Braxxx five to three (but it took Jesse thirteen bloody rounds). The highlight there? Jesse blew an uppercut against Braxxx's flip because he feinted the damn punch. The tragedies we bear, eh?
The fourth fight showed Harris as undefeated - with Layne as the casuality. With Braxxx eliminated, I paired up Layne and Jesse - Jesse enjoying vengeance with a five to one win over the firewood chopper.
The final fight. Jesse versus Harris. Not much jabbing, but well fought, I suppose. Harris took down Jesse five to one - nine rounds. I'd wager that Harris leechedfilled up with some healthy bloodsnacks before the tourney . . .
Congratulations, Harris.
You fought well, and I truly believe that you deserve this curseprize.

((Thank you to everyone who attended the Red Opal Tourney; it was my first. And, congratulations Harris! Well done. Not that it needs to be stated (but it does), but the above post is *entirely* IC. ))
