Alright here are the Odds on the people in the DQ.*
It should seem obvious that Avery is the favorite here. He has an insane record at 22-3. One should note though that last DQ he got spanked pretty good, in two short rounds. This time the prize is a bit different for him, and I am almost positive he will bring his A game, and make it to the finals.
Tareth will be the person he meets there. Tareth is coming off a stellar cycle himself, where he dominated. Unfortunately his last week did him in. The guy has power and a solid fighting style that will pull him through the tourney.
Together these two shattered just about every record, and it wont stop. One should note that Avery has dominated him since the Opal match. I look for that to continue as he goes on his way to win the DQ.
Other people to watch for....
Jesse. This other teen has the ability to whoop some ass. He has proven it by winning a DQ, and a Megabrawl. The reason I don't see him in the finals is that he hasn't been around to much of late. Add to that the fact that he smokes, and drinks way to much, and that has to mean he wont be able to hold up in the later matches.
Matt. After the recent loss of his emerald he is gonna come out for blood. This may be his first time winning the prize, which is a surprise since he dominates the sport along with Avery. It will come down to whether or not he can beat Tareth to get the chance to secure another jewel.
Bode. This is the long shot I am picking. This guy didn't duel much on the cycle, but those he did fight, lost. Add to that the fact he booted Avery out of the tourney last time, and he could very well go a long ways. I just don't see enough skill coming from him to finish things off.
The odds are...
Avery 1-2
Tareth 5-2
Matt 3-1
Tarl 10-1
Kelli 15-1
All the rest are at 30-1
Numbers
*These odds based on the people actually being in the tourney.

30-1? Wow. I knew I wasn't doing too well, but that is worse that I thought.
There are others whose skill you have undermined in your determining of the numbers. Don't look past too many, for you never know who might win the Diamond Quest. Give credit where credit is due.

I have not looked past any. I know that each individual has the chance to win. I also know that I put some at 30-1 that are previous Diamonds like yourself. The thing about setting odds is this.
I don't have to pick the winner, the people betting do. That's pretty much it. So yes, I put you at 30-1 because you have not been around much this cycle. Your skill level will reflect that, in the DQ. The people that have been around, and practiced are the ones that the general populace will bet on. ((Note, that this doesn't just involve the players but also everyone in town who would bet. So I am assuming that the bakers, and ect will bet))
If you were to gamble, you would of course put your money on those that you feel have a good chance at winning. Would you place your money on a champion race horse that hasn't run in a year? Maybe, but it would be more likely you would bet on the horses that have proven themselves as well, and have run in the past year. See my point? I take no credit away from you. Hell, I could never fight like you guys. But putting odds down is something I know
about. If you think you have a chance, place your money down. After all, you will get a small fortune.

Just in case it might affect the numbers, Numbers, Avery got his dailly dose of Pit mud yesterday thanks to me. I think the final was 5-2. The kid's lost his surprise edge, now I own this tournament.
Have a nice day!

Indeed I did hear of the recent victory you had. Yet, in my business, I know things. I know things about people, that most don't. I know what kind of gum they chew, what their mother's maiden name is, and their favorite drink. I know their girlfriends address, I know about the time they got their ass handed to them when they were twelve. I couldn't call myself a good odds maker if I didn't know these things, right?
My point is this. Avery is a poor dueler when it comes to dueling within the special rings. In fact, rumor has it that he has obtained a note from Rask that allows him to not have to duel within these rings. So, while you did beat him, it was on your terms. Your style is better suited to adaptation, which comes from your many years of experience. The young one, while good has a lot to learn about that. The odds I placed are knowing that when it comes
down to the final fights, you both will be standing on solid ground, and in a normal ring. He will have the advantage there.
Congrats on your win, and good luck to you in the tourney.

(( About the first part. I am not saying that he would know "everything" about you, but most number runners do know stuff. That's how they keep the edge when placing the odds. From time to time, I might ask you something about your character... something personal, like this whole Avery thing, and not liking the special rings. Averymun was nice enough to let me know about that. In time I am sure I will get in touch with most of you to find out special
info that Numbers might know of. Also if you feel your character has a special edge that I should know about, then let me know!! Hell, I don't know everything about everyone. Thanks for any help you could give.))
