Going into hiding..

His first night out in public since it happened had gone well enough. It didnt seem that he had been recognized, which was the basic idea of his plan. Pretty much all of it as he hadn't formulated a very good one since it happened. The few hours he spent in the Outback figuring out a few things, though not everything he needed to know.

First, it seemed that know one knew what had happened, or at least no one spoke of it, so it seemed all together possible. There was certanly no hint that the events which sent him to hiding last weekend had been heard of by the Outback patrons.. Though it would more than likely not remain that way too long, it was enough for him to plot his next move.

The other being that she had not been around, and it seemed she wouldnt be for at least a short while. Which insured that he would have time to formulate his plan, and to find and recrute those with the skill and knowledge to aid him. That, and heal from the injuries he had recieved from the night, or at least adjust to them before he is discovered, and the skirmish which will undoubtably take place afterwords.

It had been nearly a week... He was somewhat surprised, and very relieved that no suspicion had been raised yet. He had been in the Outback almost every night, for a good amount of time each night along with a brief stop off in the Arena at the end of the night, a habit of his formed long before any of the recent events put him in his current situation. Though no one seemed to notice..

He had also had the chance to verify some things during the week. Mostly things which he had been told before it happened, but also one other important thing. That without a shadow of a doubt looking for the right person, something that a week ago, he could only speculate about.

Most of this information was uncovered through his duels, and a watchful eye, speaking little, as a voice can sometimes be a hard thing to disguise. He had dueled a handful of matches, most verses high ranked duelers, another small part of his plan, wanting to sharpen his skills, which had been poor before he left.

His largest setback of the week was only that he was unable to find those which he assumed would be able to help him. Though perhaps that was a good thing, as it would be difficult to convince them of the true situation until they knew of the apparent one.

So he would spend more time resting and, wondering if she had discovered her lack of success, something that was sure to send her into another rage. However, there was nothing he could do to find out, so he returned to his temporary base of operations, changed his bandages and fell into another fitful sleep.

Time was running out. The last of the people he had always known as Opal holders, no longer was so. There was definitely a good chance that those who wished to control the Outback's magical stones would take this chance to try, with the previous two longest reigning holders defeated, and the current senior, though only for a cycle, Opal holder missing. Leaving only those without opals to stop them.

It was also becoming harder as time went on to remain undiscovered. Some were beginning to ask questions. One had even come to confront him. It was his own fault that she had done so, he had been careless, however; he was unable to persuade her from her beliefs and questions, so he was forced to dispose of the problem. He did not want to have to do what he did.. It was premature for such actions, but he was left with no choice, after all, his
secret must be kept safe, and now it would be. Plus, he reasoned that it maybe beneficial sometime soon.

His wounds were well on there way to being healed by now as well... Not a big suprise, he had always been a quick healer, one of the reasons he fought as often as he did. Though this time, it appeared there would be scars, which was a suprise, but that didn't matter much, what did matter was he was well enough to step up his training.

As things were drawing nearer to the time.. It became obvious that he would need to be in top shape to be able to help, and the Mega Brawl seemed to be a way to get there. He never expected to have those kind of odds to win.. His size had never gotten him 4:1 odds in anything similar he'd ever done.. But that was life, and 4:1 didn't mean anything, so the training would begin.
