The Overlord writes thus:

I believe in the possibility in my defeat as much as I believe in the possibility of my success. I am not proclaiming that I am unstoppable. I do not believe I have more skill than anyone in the arena. I know that the DoS is a very fickle sport, able to propel you to heights one day, only to strike you down the next if that is how it goes. I do not proclaim to be powerful enough to overcome this inherent obstacle. I merely state that all
these wars of paper will not effect the particular outcome of the match, which ever way it will go. It appears that you misread my statement as saying I would win no matter what, whereas I meant the outcome will come, no matter what happens on this board. Feelings can be hurt and friendships made and dissolved, but what happens in the rings is seperate.

Should I appear arrogant, condescending, patronizing or otherwise to the community, it may be because I do not understand the concequences of acting thus while not having the blade to back it up. Personally, I could care less whether I ever back up strong words with actions, both because I care not of my reputation to much of an extent, and that I try not to speak words that glorify myself. I may seem to be doing so, and may have a feeling of
superiority in my words, but I assure you, I am not attempting to sound threatening or otherwise in my writing. I am merely trying to get across to the community what I believe, and if this has an air of arrogance, so be it. That I can not help unless I were to alter my views, which I would never do, as they are as sacred to a person's individuality as anything else.

Dueler, and the esteemed members of the DoS.

I acknowlege Dueler's request for Challenge for the 9th ring. It would suit me to hold the event this coming Tuesday night at 10:30 p.m. (est).
