Fellow patrons of the Duel of Swords,

I had sat for many hours last eve and I decided that mayhaps I would post this, because I really see no other way of airing these thoughts.
I had spent alot of time thinking over the past and remembering things how they had been......when the Warlords were a large group of friends...and we all came together to strive against one another and share an ale after a duel. I sort of miss it myself.
Now....we have all fragmented into our groups...and I am not to say that I am not somewhat to blame for this fragmentation by my own participation in the games that perpetuated it....but now this place, to me at least...has become bitter and a pale shadow of what it used to be.
Even in my more vituperous railings against those that do not jibe with my beliefs......I have striven, even in my dislike for their actions, to still see them as respected individuals and friends...and with many I have crossed the lines of disagreement and maintained a friendship where views differ.
And in this I place my hand out in friendship to those that vie with me and others in this most wonderful sport, to let them know that even if my view differs....I still see them as friends and compatriots......some even as trusted companions.
To some...this will mean nothing. To others, the ones that have seen that which I speak of...mayhaps they will take it as it is meant...a offer of reconciliation...and a hope to again rebirth the great friendships that this sport has spawned.
In hopes that many petty rivalries can be buried.

Despite the people I disagree with, I know that the community is safe from disaster, for there is nobody protecting it... and who needs a shepherd, when the wolves are away? Even though it is not on the verge of disaster, it is on the verge of unhappiness, and the only way we can rid of this unhappiness is by uniting as people and comrades, and to restore the old tradition of the duel of swords...
