Challenge for the Ninth

Lords and Ladies of this fair land
It was with great pride, I I did have the honor of witnessing the defensefor the 9th ring.
On the evening of the 27th of January, and within the basement Annex


The Overlord, in an act of intercession on behalf of the Loyal Baroness, Queen Luthien Tinuviel Tynsdale, did fight with skill, the likes of which, I had never witnessed before.
His opponent, the challenger, the Nameless Dueler, didst fight with skill and honor befitting a true warrior.
The duel went as follows

I give my congratulations to Lady Tynsdale and to Dalamar for the honorable and excellent defense of the ninth ring. I give my thanks to Reiver for calling the match in that excellent manner that he did. I also give thanks to Dalamar for showing me why a match is far from over when the score is 4-1. His comeback shows how wonderfully skilled as a duelist that he is. The Loyal Barons certainly should be proud of their loyalty to such a great
duelist.

I would also like to give my thanks to a large number of you out there who, whether they know it or not, in the course of this challenge better understand this community and its inhabitants. Although I come from this match defeated, unable to finish a match when it was practically handed to me, I have gained experience of what it is like to fight when something is really on the line. Perhaps I will feel compelled at a later time to attempt
this again. But now I realize there is a bit more to this community than I first thought, much of which I have still to learn.

Once again, my thanks to everyone, and my congratulations to Lady Tynsdale and Dalamar,

You have conducted yourself with nothing but honor, skill, and dignity through the entirety of the challenge last even and the hours that have hence followed. This is something that I congratulate you on, for many people (including myself at times) who claim seniority on you have failed to comply with the ideas of respect amongst peers in a similar situation.
