The Newest Baron
From: rdidaemon@aol.com (RDI Daemon)
Date: 09 Feb 1998 22:07:37 EST
On a night when Many Warlords were contending with other Warlords for a shot at the open Barons ring, and possibly a shot at the title. A little 'grudge match' took place between the Warlord Adonai Uziel and The Baron Moralitor the Black. As witnessed by myself and having taken place on the battlefield, I present for you a play by play to all who could not attend.
The Baron Moralitor the Black will be defending the 7th ring tonight against the Warlord UzieI. The Baron fights under his own standard of Grey and Black sans alignment to any house. He stands alone requiring no Second or Lady of Honor to see him through this battle.
Challenging for the Baron's Ring is the Warlord Adonai Uziel. He duels under a standard of the Valheru, a Black Sun on a Crimson field. He too fights without Second or Lady of Honor
Without further ado, lets get ready to Rumble{S rumble
Ring of Hate, Round 1. In an effort to cool off the fans, and hopefully each other, the Baron and Warlord mirror Fancy CIrcular Parries. 0-0 after one
Ring of Hate: Round 2, The Warlord scores First blood, High Cutting the Fancy Steppin' Baron. 1-0 Adonai after 2
Ring of Hate:Round 3 The Baron's Fancy Cirular effectivly pins the warlord's thrust to the ground evening the score at One all after 3
Ring of Hate: Round 4, With the ease of a seasoned pro, the Warlord's Fancy Lateral bats the incoming Hi Cut aside. 2-1 Adonai
Ring of Hate: Round 5. The Baron once more shows us the effective and Fancy use of a Circular Parry to pin the challenger's Low Cut to the ground tieing the score once more at 2 all
Ring of Hate, Round 6: Spinning his staff from left to right, Moralitor's Fancy Lateral bat's away Adonai's Hi Cut. The Baron takes the lead 3-2 after 6
Ring of Hate Round 7: Adonai one ups the Baron with his Fancier version, but in the end niether scores with circular parries all around 3-2 Moralitor after 7
Ring of Hate, Round 8. The Baron takes the offensive thrusting out visciously as Adonai's Low cut N'er makes it's mark. 4-2 Moralitor extends his lead
Ring of Hate round 9: The ducking Baron can nae avoid the thrusting Warlord as Adonai closes to within one again. 4-3 Moralitor leads after 9
Ring of Hate, Round 10: The Baron thrusts his staff forward once more, and Adonai is ready this time with a Fancy Lateral to tie the score at 4 all
Ring of Hate, Round 11, Moralitor returns to the defensive, swinging the staff in a fluid parry that is too low to stop the warlord's Hi Cut. (cp/hc) And just like that, we have a new Baron
Final Score Duke UzieI def. Moralitor 5-4 in 11 rounds

I would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to everyone.
I would like to commend Moralitor on a very well fought match...and beyond our past skirmishes be the first to say that he represented himself with honor, and I will remember him like that.
My thanks to Daemon Satyriasis for his spur of the moment availibility and his friendship.
And I would like to also thank those that, even as no one knew really when it was to happen and the Warlord Tourney was going on, still somehow found their way to me, as all true friends do.
And as a minor correction ::grins:: I did have a lady of honor, the Lady Ariana, who arrived in the first minutes of the first round, ravishing to behold, and, of course, ::grins:: fashionablly late.
My thanks to you all,
~Adonai

::Simply wondering how long it will be until the new Baron declares his alignment, and is soon after, challenged by one of the many over-eager... or perhaps by one with a grudge.::
