Friends, Enemies, Patrons of DoS:
Be it known on this the 14th day of the second month, I, Daemon Satyriasis, resign from the Duel of Swords Staff. To Say that it's all been fun would be a lie. I've made many friends, and a few enemies. To say I'm leaving because of any one of you would be a lie as well. To say I'm leaving because of the lot would be closer to the truth but not entirely.
Duel of Swords used to be fun, I used to love my job, as of late, I can't stand to come to work. I can hardly stand being in the arena when I'm not working. That is why, I am taking my daughter and returning to Faerûn where I can raise her away from all this. In my wake if I could ask one last thing from those who frequent these boards and this establishment. Think on this question as it is one you need only answer to yourself. A great man once
said, "To thine own self be true"
When your time in Rhydin has come to pass, how would you like to be remembered?

"No princess, this place was never our home. We are returning to Faerûn to the place we belong."

My Friend,
You and I started this walk many many many months ago, I am sorry for your apathy...and wish you could still walk with me, as I still have many more steps to take.
Your friendship Daemon has always been unquestioned, and my respect for you as a man that never abandons his friends is unbounded, you will be sorely missed Daemon, as it seems near all my friends of old have fallen by the wayside.
I hope that one day you can return to this land, and mayhaps it will have returned to the way it was. ::nods:: Mayhaps one day all that have left will be able to return, and we can be the happy group of friends we all once were.
I will remain though my friend, as there is much work yet to be done, know that you are always welcome at my hearth.

Coming home to the small cottage after Topaz's wedding Khrys can see her husband's things and her daughter Brianna's things missing form their places. A note alone tells her of their leaving .... leaving her...... for Faerun... to go *home* the note says.
Crawling into the bed they once shared, she holds his pillow close. She can smell his scent still in the linens..... Closing her eyes, she can still see him as she last looked upon his handsome features...... she can still feel herslf in his strong and loving embrace.....
With her tears freely coursing down her cheeks, she asks herself why.... the sounds of the wind in the trees her only answer.........

She would love te tell o' how she has seen her verra best friend cry though the days and nights, her husband gone. She thought on days o' Khrys's pregnancy with nae husband te support her, o' his sudden return. Morte thought on all the hurts and pains she had watched her dear Khrys take,
her loyalty still lyin wid her "husband". And now his takin their bairn and stealin her away, ' tis a sin and a shame that he be sa low' Morte thought.
Morte sighed deeply at Khrys' goin alone te find Dae, tho' she was glad that he had shown his true selfish clolours. Mayhaps now Khrys would see the truth, and Morte sent off a silent prayer te Ceinwen te aid and protect Khrys. Then Morte crumpled up the short note she had written te post, and trashed it. She walked away..... her heart went te Khrys.... her anger cursed Dae.::
