~Warlord Sartan, Baron Darkness, Esteemed Council Members and other Officials:
I have, by now, received the outcome of the challange match called by Lady Alais 'd Nitesong Sidhe. To say that I am merely disappointed would be an understatement.
This match, and more specifically, the Baron Darkness's procedure regardin' the answerin' of this challange issued by Warlord Sartan, was brought before a council of 'is peers for a determination of the matter at hand. That bein', would this challange go forth? Would the Baron be stripped of 'is ring for failure to follow the procedures as outlined? Or, would another duel in place of the Baron? (Or whatever other options the Council might
have come forth with.) A final ballot was issued after a discussion was had and this matter was under vote. Bottom line, ladies and gentlemen, is that a determination was not made by this Council and for that reason, the match as fought on the 21st of February is hereby deemed null and void.
By this letter, this matter is bein' forwarded once again to the Council of Barons. This time, to take consideration not just the original situation given to them, but also this second fiasco.
It is my understandin' that certain people decided to continue with this match because they *believed* a majority vote had been reached and such is not and should not be considered adequate to circumvent the council before an official statement was released on behalf of *all* the Barons. At this point, I would like to mention that I also find it appalin' that the estmeed Standin's Keeper was only *notified* that this match would take place. I was
not, and had the *question* been put forth either to Golden or myself, those involved would have been told beforehand that this situation would have been unacceptable.
No. What we have here is now is *two* wrongs, that I believe certainly do not make a right.
The match is void and once again submitted to the Council.
In order that this should not drag on for undetermined length of time, the Baron's have until midnight, Saturday, February 28th to reach a decision. If more time is needed they may request an extension and such will be given without prejudice.
By my hand and seal,
~Helix Deverrey Girvin
