The woman comes upon Dex's Press Release, her sea blue eyes filled with concern. A murmured whisper, "Th' Mirror. Th' beast." She makes a mental note to speak with Dex or Gnim as soon as possible.

She could see Shylasa from what seemed to be an inbetween of two worlds. The blueish ball sparkeling with it's magical substance appeared more graspable then the whisps of shadows all around her. "The world felt familiar, why did she have no name for it?" She shook her head. Nothing made sense. Not even these notes like plinging on shards of glass.
"What was the beast doing? How come she could only see the thing in shadows, and the beautiful world so clear? The thing was in her head," she could feel its evil presence.
"How long had she been here?" The question brought up a feeling of dejavu. Yet, no matter how hard she tried, she could not remember arriving. Neither could she recall being nor doing anything within its confines. lt was almost like nothing existed other then undifinable shadowy whisps, of what she could not even guess at.
"Snap out of it!" She could hear and feel the urgency as if someone had yelled the words into her mind.
"l got to concentrate to block it out....If l weren't so thirsty...Water would be welcome. Like that sweet water from the fairy springs." She could almost taste the water as her mind was drawn to the happy times she had spent at the pools with Gnim and her son.
"The pools with all that clear water, if l could only have a handful. Have l been at this magical looking place before? lt looks so diffrent." She shook off the nagging need for water to concentrate on getting this dark presense out of her mind.
"What does this shadowy beast want? No, think of nothing. Stay out! ...There was something this thing wanted. What could it be? Darn, it looked hungry. Stay out!" It was working for now. The beast's interest turned somewhere else.
"What is it doing now? This...this...why, it appears it is draining something from this pretty world. But what? And Why? ....And why does this feel this important to know? Am l here to find out? No, that is not it, is it?" She could sense the beast dissatisfaction with its food source.
"Food. ls that what l am here for? lf l could but make myself remember why l am here. And where is 'here'?" Licking her lips was useless. There was no moisture.
Her attention was drawn to a different place. The island where she got married. "Why is this cute gnome putting a ring on my finger, vowing his love? Those faces, l should know these people. No!" She felt her strength draining. lt was difficult to keep this shadowy presense out of her mind, to resist the pull. Yet, instinct told her that was what she must do.

"How long had she been here?" The question brought up a feeling of dejavu. As did the walz she was remembering. She had fallen in love to those notes, "hadn't she? Odd." There was no memory to go with the music, merely a feeling.
She was so very tired. Sleep she could not. Those whisps of something rational drifted out of reach as soon as they had come up. The black dragon with the broken wing, drooling. Orbs making a ship fly over clouds, a newspaper, bluish-white swirls, duels, an argument, foo, horse shoes .... .
Devarrah was singing. She caught herself humming the melodie. It did not seem right and sounded terrible to her but it was the one thing graspable. "Gods, this thing is terrifying ugly," she thought, all the while still humming the familiar tune as she watched the beast becoming more defined and darker within the haze.
"The music in the bottle. Now, where had that come from?" lt didn't matter. The melodie was still there. She tried to hold on to the word 'music' as the shadow beast fought harder to get her thoughts to travel away.
"How long had she been here?" The question brought up a strong sense of dejavu. The orb was playing "Happy Birthday". She hummed the notes, being all too aware of the tiredness in every fiber of her. Music. There was something, some reason, why this should be important. The dark presence became more of a solid beast as she dwelled on the song. Though she could not put a finger on it, why that should be so, she put forth a consious effort to keep
repeating the orb's song, fighting the pull to let her thought drift onward.
"Don't sleep - thirst - blessed insanity." Those were thoughts not of her own making. What made her think this utter nonsense? She would have welcomed the little satisfaction of denying the suggestions with a hearty shake of her head, but she felt unable to collect enough energy for the movement.
lt was impossible to think up a strategy and keep remembering the music and at the sime time ignoring best as she she could the strong suggestions to quit caring. How much longer would she be able to fight what was happening no longer knowing what she was fighting nor why and how ?
