He had witnessed the transformation, intrigued by this friend of his brother's. The night of drinking and watching fights had left him hungry for something different. Allowing the hunter a good start, he took out through the gates of the courtyard to follow.
It took a few moments for his eyes to adjust to the dim glow from the moon as he swiftly moved down the trail left. He knew he was downwind of the lion creature, yet he remained cautious, having never having tracked this one before. All of his skills and experience were called upon to stay hidden, but still within range of the hunter.
His eyes fell upon the game that was played, a hidden smile on his face. He liked games as well, but that was for another time. He was here to observe, knowing one that would want the information. There was no surprise when he witnessed the slaughter, the rage of the hunter could be felt by all out on the land this night. As the last deer was brought down, he turned, breaking into a run back towards the Towers. The fall of his feet could
have been mistaken for the plains grass bending in the wind as he raced.
When he arrived back at the Towers, the place held an deathly silence. Pushing quietly through the doors of the East Tower, he made for a comfortable spot to wait, either for the return of the hunter or his brother.
