As of this day, April 3 by the Rhydinian calendar, the council of the Shylean Empire has declared the missing Empress Topaz to be deceased, thereby nullifying the marriage as per the code of unification written in the texts of law on which this Empire is founded.

Jake stands by the boards, reading the notice that states Empress Topaz to be deceased. He ponders on it awhile realizing he had a chance to duel her a couple of times when he was still a mere swordsman. Having no knowledge of her life outside the ring, he is still sadden to read this notice. "Well, m'lady... I may not know you personally, but I thank you, & honored by your willingness to duel me & that I have respect for you, m'lady Topaz...
rest in peace." Salutes the air & stand in silence for a minute & then wonders into the arena... realizing that outside the arena... there are no rules.

Kaprielle read the post and shook her head in disgust. She was unable to help but wonder how a state's anouncement of a person considered missing and then decleared dead, would ever be enough to stop her from searching for someone she cared about. Unless of course it was by her hand that individual had gone missing. With that she smiled at a time of old and wandered off amused. She was certain if Gnimish gave a damn about Topaz he'd find her, if
not, it'd be clear, either way if she were him, she'd rip down such articles of nonsense from the public's eye.

The 1st Seraph passed the ancient cork board of the arena on her way home for the night. Her shift had been long and most enjoyable. The patrons were all in good spirits, creating a most perfect ambiance to work in.
Pausing, an official document on a lovely blue parchment, posted on the board, catches the angel's attention. Stepping closer to the board, Cygnet reads,

Quite surprised, the seraph blinked, reading the official Shylean declaration a second time.
After a few moments had past, the quite fatigued celestial being vanished in a flurry of light only to appear back at her cottage on Silverlake, seated before her simple desk. Opening her journal, Cygnet penned;
The Seraph Cygnet's Journal
Silverlake Cottage, 3rd late night
I find myself most weary after work this eve, yet my emotions draw me to pen some thoughts before I seek sleep. The news that the Shylean council has decleared the missing Empress deceased after so many weeks missing, weighs heavy upon my psyche. But who am I to question the laws of any realm, any far off world or place. Such laws only give meaning to order and chaos in a society. What truely matters is what lives in the heart.
And when that ceases to exist any longer, when love vanishes from the beating, passionate hold of the heart, I question then if it was real at all... genuine love is eternal.
Chaimberlain ka-Ramey's decree may be the law of the Shylean Empire, but I know in this realm, the very center of the multi-verse, there will be a different truth. But what truth holds here in Rhydin is yet to be seen.
I sit here, pen in hand, weary and pensive as I write. Glancing at my bed, it beckons me to come and embrace sleep. Tomorrow I shall speak to Nim.

Lowering her pen and pushing from her desk, the angel walked the 8 feet to her bed with a slow step. Slipping from her gown, her pale naked flesh veiled in a warm aura of celestial light, she eased beneath the soft brushed cotton sheet covering her sleigh bed.
Instantly deep in the soothing embrace of slumber, she wasn't aware when he quietly entered the cottage. The angel only stirred slightly when the arms of the Emperor pulled her body against his as if to hold her forever.
Real love lasts an eternity.
