"Well, it's always been my opinion (I can't speak for anyone else), that loyalty to someone should go beyond this sport. There's a big world out there, beyond this Arena."
But in truth, one's loyalties here should be solely based on one's opinions regarding one's policies within this venue.
As an example: place Seamus MacDonnaugh, Adeena Maeax, Jeffrey Oakenshield, any number of others whom I would not hesitate to lift my blade in defense of on the street, in the High Seat. Assume that I were a Baron; obviously I would be loyal to them. If they tested another Baron, you can guarantee that I would, with deep regret, become renegade.
Does anyone think for an instant I would not still defend them on the street, from an attacker whose motive had nothing to do with this venue? If they do think that, then I would question their sanity.
Does retaining title in this sport hold so much deep, personal meaning for people that if one stands against them, or refuses to support them, they are obviously back-stabbing slugs whose friendship was false? Think about that for a moment, and consider how utterly foolish it sounds.
I remain,
Iain MacKenzie
Lord Tynsdale
Warlord and Thrice-Baron of the Duel fo Swords.
Tables Turning.

::reads it and sighs::
<w> Obviously I must've said something insulting again...
::lifts the pen to write, but then drops it quickly::
Screw it! I know what I meant, and I'm sure many others do too. I'm not going to try to explain again...
::shakes her head and walks off::
