Adonai Uziel,

As the challenge was stated, it caused a down pour in posts. Every one geting in what they had to say, and name calling, ect took place. And though this, you said any one that challenges me shall meet my blade. Now you have been one of the Barons I respect, but why did the challenge meet the Overlord's blade? That did seem rather odd to me. And any others that read upon this post. It is not one post to start a fight. There are others
going on if you want to join them right now. Just to answer a question, that is all.

Respectfully,(sp?)

Evan,

I believe I have stated in no uncertain terms that the reasoning was this. Dalamar had a personal interest at stake in the challenge, and due to the political nature of the challenge, and the fact that the challenge was truly aimed at Dalamar, I did not feel it undue to let him step in and take matters into his hands. That is the perogative of a Loyal Baron and his Lord. What you are failing to see is something I realized long ago about
rank and title. And this, on top of my friendship with Dalamar is the reason for my loyalty to the Crown.
Any man can challenge for a title and hold it, and aye, there have been many caretakers of the Baronial Rings through the history, and some were merely that, caretakers. One must be able to see the difference between personal wants and needs, and what is needed to be done with the title at the time. The Baron that looks beyond his own aggrandizement, and truly serves the title, is a Baron.
So that explained, once more, mayhaps you can see my reasoning. Two others met my blade alone, and many others will also. But it all comes down to seeing beyond the now, into what is truly needed.

Uziel,

I do see. Though he did challenge you, he should have just challenged the Overlord him self. Just rember to keep your blade sharp. ;)
