Lords and Ladies of RhyDin
Overlord Dalamar Ar D'aumon, Barons all.
I stand before these ancient boards with a great pride welling in my heart.
I now know what it is to have reached this pinnacle in my career and have not the words to describe the feeling.
For as long as I have dueled within these rings, my love for RhyDin has continued to grow. I have seen the rise and fall of houses, of Barons and of Overlords.
I have seen those most common rise within the ranks and seen the loss of great men and women from our midst.
Still, I love this realm, I love it's peoples, its history, and it's flavor, more with each passing day.
Within the realm a fire now rages. Those standing in opposition to the Overlord have called out for change, as their vows demand. Those loyal to the Overlord have had to reach deep within themselves to determine where their loyalties lie.
As in the past, I expect this storm to pass, as have the others I have seen in Rhy Din. I pray we all shall weather this, and come away a stronger community.
As I search my own conscience, I can not say I have agreed with Dalamar at every turn. I have struggled against him at the times I felt he had erred in judgement. I have readily voiced my opininon when I saw him cross the proverbial line of what I deemed proper.
In all this time I have seen him open to reasoning. He has never closed his ears to my concerns. With this said, in my heart I feel that I would serve this community in a greater capacity as one who might influence the decision of the Overlord, rather than one who would stand opposed and help to broaden the rift that now exists.
With respect to the Venerables, Kalamere and Laird Iain MacKenzie, as well as to their vows, I announce my desire to stand loyal to Rhy Din, as well as to the 28th Overlord, Dalamar ar D'aumon
Respectfully,
Seamus MacDonnaugh
Proud bearer of the First Ring

Baron Seamus,
I am proud and honored to accept your loyalty. I know that, as a good friend, you understand the importance of loyalty to me, and my desire that no Baron pledges it lightly. I only hope that I can do justice do the respect you have shown me. May your reign be long and filled with joy, Seamus.
sincerely,
