I'm curious why so many challengers and barons are no longer opting for seconds and honors. I understand on select occasion this might happen, but it seems lately it is the standard and not the exception. It is a shame.
I believe it is those instances that strengthen the community, bonds and respect between duelers.
Just my opinion and thought for the day.

Perhaps they merely don't try to make friends... to become part of the community... or perhaps they believe they should do -everything- on their own...
I know that I prefer to have my friends near me, even if I don't intend to challenge.

Pens a short note, tacks it to the cork.
Mayhap tis the lads are getting stingy, Kappi. What with hiring the bands, the dancing girls, paying for the Lady of Honor's new ensemble, the cost of a trip to the Rhydin House of Beauty and paying Bruce and Renard for the makeovers, stocking the bar with champagne, Demon Rum, Jake's Finest, not to mention the rising cost of outfitting the cheerleaders...
NOT to mention finding good servants to serve the crowds. Mayhap tis time the serving kids divert some of their tips to a fund for impoverished Warlords.

Some find strenght in numbers...
Some find strength in solitude....
I find strenght at the bottom of a bottle of Yukon myself.
