A shimmer of a faint light and the shade of a former warrior wafted through the basement of the Red Dragon Inn. It glided quietly through the rings and over the bloodstained sands looking to and fro. A touch of sadness dotted the expression of the shade as it's pupil's eyes scanned over a lone dusty forest green velvet couch shoved into a dark corner. The spot where once a proud banner of the Garden Chapel
hung along the walls with others now replaced by some new school banner he did not recognized.

Yet the Standings still showed manny of the same names along with a few newer ones. Many still in the same places and doing the same things they had always done before he was gone. That was when the slightest smile came to his face as he slipped into the shadows and back to the netherworld of the desceased.

"DoS will never change, good or bad, and why should it...."

Aloysuis was just bringing a bundle of bottles in to restock the coolers when he froze seening the shimmering image of the former Warlord. He stood quietly with reverence to allow the ghost the moment alone. It wasn't rare when he saw an old face among the rings that many had never even saw when they were alive. When the Welsh Highlander was gone, he returned to his chores thinking of turbelent times of the past when that crazy old
warrior stalked these rings.

The seraph watches the ghost depart, wondering which apparition of a deceased dueler she just witnessed.

"Hmmm.... oh...good sir, excuse me...", pausing as the man restocking the coolers seemed to not hear her, "wasn't that the old warlord, E something?"

The angels voice was soft and light, the deep midnight blue of her eyes shimmered with clarity as she watched the vision fade away.

It was very early in the morning. The dew shimmered off of the grass and the flowers within the garden behind Sidartha's home. Barefoot and clad in only her filmy night gown, Sid walked through the twisting paths, driven by some unknown force to the south east corner of the guarden. Secluded in a small "room", surrounded by rosebushes covered in ivory blossoms, was a statue of a man wielding an impressive sword, the Llewys tartan draped
over the man's shoulders. Sid knelt and ran her hand over the cool brass plaque that held the inscription...

Rest in reason...move in passion!

A gentle smile crept to her lips as she remembered the old days...the days that were long gone, but still etched in her memory. Sid owed much of her dueling success to him, to Elijah...though he would deny it fervantly, she thought with a grin. He never could take a compliment from her for some reason.

Sidartha stood, gazing at the statue, the morning breeze blowing her gown around her ankles. An odd peace fell over her, and all the pain, all the questions she wanted to ask Mydin, faded away.

He was at rest...finally.

Without another look, she turned and walked back to the house, up the stairs and into the nursery, where her twins and her ward slept. She pushed the door open and stepped in, watching over them lovingly.

"Mommy Sid?" Four-year-old Maria said quietly, sitting up and rubbing her big green eyes.

Sid knelt before the girl's bed, "Aye, sweetheart, it's me. What's wrong?"

"Nothing, I just heard you come in. Why are your feet all wet?"

"I went into the garden, Maria..."

"Why?"

Her pale blue eyes misted over as she layed the child back down and tucked her in.

"I was visiting a friend..."
