Iain,
I know my words, and the meaning behind them. Huma referred to our behavior as childish (which I agree, but I'm not going to sit down when a friend is insulted). I just think that Evan's "command to shutup" is no less hostile than Huma's "don't clog up our boards, children".
I think those that know me know what I mean in my wordings. I can be very harsh when I write, but I am honestly trying to state my feelings as diplomatically as possible... without backing down from my morals.
Now I am trying to be as kind as I can when I word this Iain... grow up, please... I added the please just so you don't think I'm "commanding" you. ::Smirks, signing it, before walking off, mumbling something::

<<I just think that Evan's "command to shutup" is no less hostile than Huma's "don't clog up our boards, children".>>

Ok Var, first off, is this *exactly* what I said? No it is not. So why try and twist my words? trying to make yourself look better? Well, that's not happening. Myself, or Iain, niether of us need to try and make you look like a fool, your doing an excellent job all by yourself.
What I was saying, and Iain was smart enough to realize, was that myself, and possibly a few other patrons of these boards are tired of seeing mindless childish babble back and forth on these boards. That is strictly an opinion. It is NOT a hostile, Command to shut-up as you so ignorantly seem to think it is. Matter of fact, I think you intentionally twist my words when somebody points a fact out to you. You and your morals are all that matter to
you. Well, that's *YOUR* morals Var. Stop pushing them on other people. Yours I would say are the muddiest hands, AND your mouth needs to been sewn shut it's so filthy. My opinion only tho, others may not agree with that, nor will i try and varify it.

<<Now I am trying to be as kind as I can when I word this Iain... grow up, please... >>

Well Var, answer this. If Iain needs to grow up, I think your still in diapers. Iain shows much more respect for people, he takes constructive criticism much better, and well, he doesn't try and pudh his beliefs or lifestyle off on the rest of us, which you ARE doing. I said Iain had been acting like a child, he didn't get all bent out of shape by it. This must have made you rather angry that Iain didn't turn his attention towards me. Bummer.
Var, You need to grow up, moreso than Iain.
One last note Var, if you ever, twist my words again, you will find yourself on the business end of my blade. That is not a threat, it's a promise.

Huma,
I did not twist your words, least that wasn't my intent. I am not trying to make myself look good, unlike what you seem to want to do. I'm just saying that if one wording was taken within such hostility, I didn't see how yours wasn't equally hostile, no matter how it's said. I didn't say you were wrong.
Now you want to be as childish as Iain and throw "promises"?
Fine, I apologize to you, Huma, for misportraying your words. If you realized my intent, you probably would have understood that I wasn't trying to make myself look good at your expense.
However, I'm disappointed in your childish antics, by making threats. What I find funny, is that you don't think Iain's wording is childish, when he starts throwing more and more words at me that aren't in the least bit thought about. Oh, boo hoo, Iain didn't turn his attention towards you. I just stated that it was odd.
Huma, Iain, you live your life by threats; childish threats. You want to be that way, fine. And I'm not forcing my morals on anyone; I'm defending a friend, that's MY morals. Fine, I'll grow up.
Least I can say, I'm condemned for my intentions of defending a friend. That's one thing I'll never regret.

Var, you have no idea of what you say to me. Your intent is extremely hard to see due to the amount of mud you've thorwn here. You had qouted me as saying a hostile phrase, "Stop clogging our boards children." To me, this is intentional misinterprtation of my words. Nearly anyone would do the same as I have had you said the same thing of them. Stating my promise to use force is childish? No, not really. When diplomacy fails, physical force
then becomes nescissary. Do you nothing of politacl works? I really don't feel debating over this anymore.

I am not trying to make myself look good,

Well, that couldn't be clearer.

For those who insist they want the insults to stop, well I've said it before, the quickest way to stop insults is to stop using them.

Is that really so hard to understand?

As I recall Iain never ranted for three days about something that has existed in this sport for at least as long as I have been a part of it. It reminds me of the old joke: How do you start an agrument?

Write down a question and pass it about in DoS.

Constant,

::looks at the mud and groans::

No Evan, that's how you make a mess. Throwing mud all over the public boards and other people's letters is not your place. But perhaps I should let Iain, Huma, or Var explain to you the poor etiquette involved in what you just did when they see their writings covered with you ingenious little joke.

No comment from over here. I don't want to flame up the boards more than I already have.

So have I...and I got slammed for it. Perhaps they are not telling the whole truth when they say that they want the insults to stop.
