::just shakes her head upon reading the foolishness once again::
Look....... we ALL know that Huma's words were rash, and not meant the way they sounded. Huma was angry, and justifiably so. Mayhaps his anger towards Dalamar is misplaced...... Mayhaps not.
IF Dalamar, in fact, has WarLords that are willing to challenge a Renagade Baron just for the pleasure of taking the ring, that only proves that those WarLords are Loyal to Dal. In their own way, of course. It does NOT prove that Dalamar coerced them into acting so. Personally I would like to see Huma take the 4th back. The way Jesse treated him and the Ring was dishonorable, and besmirched the honorable traditions of the DoS.
As for what Huma said about Honor in the DoS leaving with him....... We all should know that HUMA of all people didn't mean those harsh words the way they sounded. It was his anger talking and doing the choosing of his words. To continue to hammer away at that one point, however, will cause nothing but more strife and division here. An angry man is a stubborn man..... You keep telling him to leave it be.... to let it go...... I
say....... Leave him be about this. Huma is a good and caring man. A decent man......... and a friend to many of us here. Once he has some time to see what he has actually said, he'll most likely be the most shocked of us all at the harshness of his words.......
Just my two bits worth.......

::walks back to the boards after a moment of thought::
Just as a clarification on my personal wishes for Huma to regain the 4th Ring.
I don't wish this because of anything that Dalamar may, or may not, have done. The fact that the OverLord inspires such loyalty in his followers is, in and of itself, something to be admired.
I would like to see Huma regain the 4th soley for the dishonorable way that Jesse behaved on the Field Of Honor........ To my way of thinking, that contemptous act alone warrants Huma's (and everyone else's in the DoS) anger..............
Just another two bits......

Khrysta,
Though you are right, you are also, in my opinion, wrong in a sense. Yes, Huma got angry; heck, we all do. However, experience has taught me, that whatever you say on these boards, you will get back.
I'm not saying Huma is wrong. In fact, I hope good things come his way, despite the times him and I have disagreed.
You can't criticize a group of people, regardless of your emotions (not publicly, at least). It would be like me saying, "All women are this" or saying, "all men are that". People will naturally defend themselves, and it would be quiet unfair to speak against them, expecting silence.
Adding, for clarification, I'm not saying it is right for everyone to speak against Huma, either. As I have failed doing in the past (which I hope to accomplish now and in the future), I believe in thinking before I post, trying to leave insults.
Just my thoughts.

Of course, Var, you are correct.
If everyone here would give sincere thought to their words and actions, the vast majority of the *difficulties* within the DoS, and all of RhyDin, would lessen to a manageable amount. My only thought was that if everyone were to truly think about whom it was that had said those things.... being Huma of course, then they would realize that he spoke rashly and harshly out of anger, most likely not meaning what it sounded like he meant at all.
If everyone were to truly think about it before reacting emotionally to the words, they may choose to ignore the harshness, in light of the obvious anger behind them, letting Huma cool off for a bit, as it were, before the subject is broached for discussion...... If it even proves necessary then.
With all of the other very real problems within the DoS, it would seem to me that we should all try to be more understanding, and not create a *situation* simply because of a few harshly spoken words. and bruised feelings over a misunderstanding.......

ok, simply put. Is telling me I am full of myself, or pointing out what anyone thinks I shouldn't be doing, actually going to have an effect om what is going to happen? My mind is set on my task. There is nothing anyone can say to sway me from that. So, everyone who disagrees with me...your wasting your time. Save your words for the ring, because that is the only place that disputes will be resolved. Not fighting on these boards.

I am not about to be called a blind follower *and* someone who's loyalties are based upon who my bedpartners are, and then just leave him be. It doesn't work that way.

::Nods, reading Khrysta's post::
Khrysta,
Yes, you are correct. However, I might want to restate some words to help with one point I was trying to make.
Yes, we are all rash with our words at times, as Huma was. I just know one thing, though. If I were to say anything about a group of people, I would accept the responsibility when they reply.
The fact is, I sometimes might say something. I think it would be pretty poor of me, to expect everyone to understand because I am speaking out of anger. At that point, someone else will respond, and expect everyone to be quiet. That person might then say, "Hey, I was just angry, give me a break". Eventually, people will be throwing words of anger at one another, but expecting no response using the excuse that they were, "Only angry".
And Huma,
No, maybe we won't change your mind with our words.
However, if you fight your own friend to get a baronial ring, you will lose something else that is dear to you, and many other people in the DoS - friendship.
Be sure you know who you're ready to hurt for self satisfaction.

Var, of course.. I totally agree with you on that. To do otherwise would open everyone up to having the excuse of anger to say and/or do whatever they want. I wasn't attempting to excuse what Huma said.... only to ask that others try to refrain from perhaps escalating the situation by reacting with heated emotion instead of thinking their words through.
Sid... I wasn't addressing what was said yesterday evening in the arena. I wasn't present for most of your conversation, and have to right to comment on what either of you may have said then. I was, and am, only addressing what was said on this board.
I do apologize if you thought otherwise.
