::adds a little addendum to the Tourney announcement::
This is to confirm that the prize list is updated to show the abandoned 4th baron's ring.
Also, this should serve as notice that the tournament is now *full*. Entries will continue to be accepted until the 22nd, but confirmations will now include a stand-by number. I encourage any warlord who was desirous of particpating to get entered as soon as possible. As we all know, *all* who register never show, so I'm fairly certain stand-by entrants will be accepted, but the sooner you are on the list, the better your chances.
The DoS staff will make every attempt to accomodate as many as possible, but resources *are* limited.

The tournament went from twenty two participants, a small number for a Warlords tournament, to too many... however many that is. It seems many Warlords have awakened from thier long slumber at the sound of six prizes.
I wonder what the list looks like...

Well Damien...
All I have to say is, I hope some of these "long lost" warlords plan on sticking around... especially if one or more of them claim a ring. Absenteeism does not make for a good role-model, in my opinion.

Well, it ain't very likely many old timers are gonna enter the tourney when there's a limit on the duelers. Funny, with 5 prizes available, the RDSI staff limits the number of participants to 22? so one in every 4. someethin' win a ring. Doesn't sound like a very good start.
As for this stand in crud, why would the rest of us bother when there's a good chance we'll be wasting our time coming only ta' be told we can't get in? No way should there be a limit to how many people are involved, especially when there's so many prizes up for grabs.
Helix, other RDI's...come on....let's not stifle the competitive spirit here, just allow whoever enters to duel, it's not like most of the other warlords will mind...unless they don't want more competition that is.

I'd gladly volunteer to call, were I not already entered in the Tourney. The problem isn't duelists, it's callers. A good third of the callers who would normally be available are going to be competing!

Just a guess, but I'm going to say it's 32 people. Helix never said it was limited to 22, and 32 is a nice even number. I think you boys had best learn how to read. Helix didn't say the number of participants in the Tourney would be limited to 22.... What she did say however was this............

40 confirmed seats that I mentioned stand-by. We *will* accomodate as
many as we can, but there *has* to be a cut off. Ye can't fault me for
"coverin' " the proverbial derierre here. I have 40 now (and again, who
knows out of the 40 if all 40 will show or only 28) and we've a week to
go before the tourney. What if we ended up with 60 and couldn't handle
the volume?
For the sake of argument, let's say we split the difference and say we
end up with 50 duelers. Take into consideration that we *try* to wrap
this up by midnight each night. We're talkin' then about accomplishin'
approximately 75 duels in a 6 hour period, or about 37 duels every 3
hours, the length of a normal calling shift. The fastest RDI does that
on a regular duelin' night, but when they do manage such a feat it's
usually because they have QKeeps to act as a buffer for questions and
they're not responsible for figurin' out specific pairin's on the fly.
Come on, Billy. Give a little credit where credit is due. :)

Nemo drops a stack of plates in the kitchen. Edmond glares at Al and Hubie, "You two at it again? Marcus, you help Nemo in the kitchen." Marcus hops down scampering through the swinging door. Al and Hubie slip the blank slips under a stack
of towels, giving Edmond their best "It was Marcus' idea." look. Edmond cuffs both kids, sending them off to finish stringing wires through the tunnel between the basement and the annex. Al and Hubie yelp, reeling, then, with hang dog expressions, trudge into the tunnel.
