Collie... that is what I said as the first responce to this thread. I am not the one who was mistaken, Khrys said that I was mistaken, that I needed to learn how to read when it was she who mis-read my post.
That is what I have been trying to say this entire time.

To the few still hashing at this the *DAY* before the tourney:
Subject: Warlord Tourney!
Date: 04/30/98 13:06 Eastern Daylight Time
~Ladies and Gentlemen of the Duels
Warlord's Tournament time again... and quite the tournament it is expected to be. ;)
The event has been scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, May 25th and 26th starting at 9:00pm in the Basement Annex.
As always, registration is required and early arrival on the date of the event is appreciated. Registration is open immediately and will close at midnight on May 22nd. Entries received after that date *may* be accepted on a stand-by basis only.
The format for this tournament will be double elimination, and as usual, the victor will have his or her choice of prize.
Prizes stand at an intercession free match against the Overlord or one of the four new baron's rings crafted in accordance with the new rules that go into effect at midnight, the eve before the tourney.
To register, please send entries to RDI Helix stating your intent to participate. Entering warlords will receive written confirmation. To qualify, warlords must be listed as such on the standings for the weekend ending May 17th. The Rankings as listed in the Warlord's corner will be used for the initial pairings. In the event of a tie in the Warlord Rankings, random dice rolls will be used to make the final placements.
Yours respectfully,

Less than a week for sign up for the Warlord Tournament scheduled for May 25 & 26.
Only 22 participants so far.
I daresay between the small number involved and that fact that this is double elimination, a little luck should make it rather easy for someone to lay claim to one of the new rings.
This should be interestin' indeed... ;)

::adds a little addendum to the Tourney announcement::
This is to confirm that the prize list is updated to show the abandoned 4th baron's ring.
Also, this should serve as notice that the tournament is now *full*. Entries will continue to be accepted until the 22nd, but confirmations will now include a stand-by number. I encourage any warlord who was desirous of particpating to get entered as soon as possible. As we all know, *all* who register never show, so I'm fairly certain stand-by entrants will be accepted, but the sooner you are on the list, the better your chances.
The DoS staff will make every attempt to accomodate as many as possible, but resources *are* limited.

Now that the facts are all before you, drop it. Too many people all putting words in my wife's mouth, and that involves me and usually only serves to get one reaction. Read and think before you assume and write.
