Time's changing, Lily's not.

Journal entry of Lily Lesprit for the date of May 27:

To whom this may concern;

I am a murderer. Yes, now don't tell not to think this way, I killed something flat out and purposely. I suppose I was under the influence of heartbreak, but, I still killed my baby.

I talked with Khrys today and somehow the conversation drifted to the abortion. Why did I do it? I have no clue, well, I do, but it was a stupid reason. He would have wanted me to have that baby. He would.

Alkron's name was mentioned in the course of today as well. What is this, "let's remind Lily of every depressing thing of her life" day? Why did I hurt him? Why did I hurt so many others? Why did I hurt Daemon? Why?

Well, it seems I must..I must go. Blotting ink isn't a good idea, and I think I'm about to. So, whoever has read this, please understand who I am.

Sincerely yours,

Lily Lesprit

((Author's note: The abortion of Lily's fetus is NOT common information. She did NOT put this entry on the boards. This is simply part of the SL (much like Cyggy's entries) that the MUN knows about so they can follow. Thank you.))

The fairy rolled out of bed at around noontime. Her head was pounding; it was obvious she had had too much to drink the night before.

Ah well, she thought, Life's rough at times and whiskey is there to boost the times.

She slipped into the bathroom and grabbed a wash cloth. When she reached for the basin to put some water to heat in there, she found nothing but air.

"Lily, you are a bloody mess."

"Hello Russel, what brings you here today?" she turned about face to look at the plump man.

"You know damn well. I have your water heating as we speak, it should be hot soon enough."

Five minutes later the fairy was washed up and scarfing down some millet-mush for breakfast. "You sure this Mr. Magoy is trustable, Russel?" she asked him between mouthfuls.

"Of course he is! I opened my griller with his help. Never met a better man in the business."

"What did happen to that grill o' yers, anahow?" she popped another bite of mush in her mouth.

"Closed down, the customers weren't happy with us." Lily smirked at the comment. Russel the nsaid to her, "Get your arse on track lil' girl, or I'm going to do it for you." WIth that, Mr. Upsumgrub left.

A loud pop was heard from the tea kettle in the kitchen. Lily muttered a few unprintable words and went to it. "I knew I should have paid better attention, well there goes another kettle."

She removed the cast iron "thing" (it had no purpose as tea kettle any longer so it's appropriate to name it a thing) , and dropped it into the rubbish. It was early, considering the time she went to sleep.

The fairy went about doing her morning chores, when a thought crossed her mind. 'What if K'yorl wins that challenge 'gainst Jeff?' Gah...don't bother with that right now.

Finally, an hour and a half after the destruction of the tea kettle, Lily set out of the house for a day of...well...abnormal fairy life.

Lily signed the last contract. It was with a co-op. The last contract. All she had to do was wait. That was the last paper to be signed. She couldn't believe it.

She exited the arena, humming gently. She honestly wasn't in the greatest mood, but she had her life on the right track. The right track. There was two more things left.

As she slipped between the sheets the fairy let out a deep content sigh. Before she blew out her nightside candle the whisper was heard throughout the whole house, "But what if?"

She awoke to a gorgeous sunrise with birds singing me awake. Lily quickly packed up her train bag and went to the horse rental. (Heck, Lily hasn't played with automobiles yet, so why can't we just have equine's for rent?)

As the grooming boy led the piebald stallion from the stall, a grin took control of the fairy's lips. A few minutes later she had mounted the horse and was cantering t'wards Cisalia. (made up place, don't worry about it).

When the pixie passed through the city limits she was greeted, as usual, by crowds of merchants, begging children, and puppies. Her mount seemed a slight edgy by all the attention but soon became tranquil.

Lily dismounted and lead the horse and her herself to Mr. Upsumgrub's residence and cooking academy. She saw to it that the horse was put in a temporary stall with some grain to nourish him.

She stepped into the Culinary Art School through a side entrance which lead directly into the kitchen/learning area. All the students abruptly turned their heads to her. Then Russel turned his head as well to see what the boys were looking at.

"Hello, Lily."

"Hello, Russel."

A slight smirk crossed Russel's features as he told his pupils to excuse him a moment. "What do you want, fairy?" he asked.

"I need a pupil of yours, or a few," she replied. Her voice was calm and kept a steady volume and note.

"For what?"

"My cafe, of course."

He sighed. "I'm not sure if many are ready for intense work. Yet, I'm sure I have perhaps one or two that could work for you. What's the bargain though?"

"For now a month's pay, one week at a time, one week in advance. Boarding in the basement. (she had set up four possible living rooms in the basement) Food, utilities, etc. are covered."

Russel nodded.

"When can I get them?"

"I'll have them in three hours." A sad expression haunted Monsieur Upsumgrub's face. Lily nodded and exited the building.
