In order to keep the dueling community informed of the happens within the rings, I hereby provide a copy of my official notice of challange to the honorable Queen Luthien for the rights of the nineth ring.
Dear Queen Luthien Tinuviel, Nightingale-Daughter of Twilight, Holder of the 9th Baronial ring of DoS, Dear Lady Helix Deverrey Girvin and Lord Goldendust Evermeadow,
The day of an aniversery draws near. This day l am thinking of marks a full year in which Queen Luthien has gracefully held and represented the ninth ring of the Duel of Swords.
l have gotten to know you as a fair lady of grace and honor in and out of the dueling rings and would feel greatly honored should you, Queen Luthien, accept my challenge to mark the passing of this special day.

It is with great delectation that I accept this, your worthy challenge, in the spirit of competition and under the banner of mutual respect.
You have displayed to me the respect that I believe you would expect to be shown yourself as a Baroness. I can find no cause to doubt your deserving of the 9th ring and therefore will request that the hand of the Overlord be stayed in this event.
I will be pleased to meet you in the Ring, as you've suggested, at the time of my 1 year anniversary as holder of the 9th. Should your prowess in the ring prove superior to my own, I will be proud to see the legacy of the 9th continue in the era of honor.

To all those concerned:
As some may already be aware, the 20th of June will mark my One year anniversary as holder of the 9th Baronial ring of DoS. I belive this day should not end without an event to mark it's passing. Therefore, with agreement from Lady Eludes, Saturday the 20th will be reserved for this challenge. The time is tentatively set at 11:30 p.m. (east).
The former renegade Baron Huma Dragonbane has graciously agreed to preside over the match.

Within the darkness appears a deeper darkness.....
A narrow sliver of moonlight reflects off one stark white hand as it pages through the notes upon the board.......
A whisper sounds in the room......
"Make your Luck strong, your blade steady.......Your Path secure, Elven Queen."
The figure seems to turn.....
"......More rides upon your prowess than you currently Know."
The room becomes empty......

Nemo knew just where to look for Topaz and found her at the Atrebla arena.
"Missus Tiny, ma'am", he gushed forth with a blush staining his ruddy cheeks, "Uh, Ma'am, I got something for ya, I think it's for ya. Oh, and, uhm" He stopped to think hard scratching his head and then stammered on, "Uhm, uhhh, forth bush...no, green, yeah, tree, forth uh tree, Missus Tiny, Ma'am." Nemo looked proud having remembered the exact words as he thrust the paper, still surprisingly clean, toward Topaz.
Topaz took the message and pulled forth a coin from her skirt pocket and pressed it into Nemo's hand. "Thank you, lad."
Nemo was so tickled to have a coin, he promptly forgot why he got it. But he would remember Missus Tiny gave him one all for himself.
Topaz went to her office with the missive to find the forth tree, the key with which to read the message hidden in what looked to be a travel report.

Missionary South was what they had dubbed the busy inn just south of RhyDin. Topaz and Krollon took a seat at a small table in the middle of the bustle while Keirin made his way to the bar. They did not have to wait long for Palo Buttons to join them at the table.

introductions obsolete. "New?" He asked with an approving brow lifted towards Keirin
standing at the bar. That was about as much pleasant small talk as one could expect from Palo Buttons.
"The usual precautions are in place?" At Topaz's quick nod he continued, "We have gathered enough info on the Claw's plans to apprehend their group a week from
tomorrow. You have to cancel the aehm festivities. They got themselves a good one this time. Here's "
Topaz interrupted his flow of speech, "l can't do that. That's the challenge match. You always took care of that riffraff without any schedule getting thrown over."
"Well, do you want bystanders to get hurt?" He actually looked hurt for a moment at the fairy's implication he was getting too old to do his job.
"No", Topaz answered, "of course not. But there must be a "
"There isn't." Palo's voice did not leave any doubt and held grudging respect as he went on ,"they hired Cane." He paused to let that information sink in and watched the effect of eyes widened with fearful respect and general negative surprise.
Ark instinctively reached for the Crystal Blade and his arm went protectively around Topaz. "Are you positive it's Cane?" Ark asked with slight disbelief, having encountered the assassin before.
Palo nodded and seeing he got their attention he went on to explain what he had in store for Cane. With Topaz's promise to try and at least move the date in question and a few more instructions from her and Krollon, Palo made his good byes.
