"Alright, Farris, I suppose that's your room," Lily pointed to the room on her right, "And Darrel, you're across from him," she then gestured to the room across from the one she just pointed at. "Now the girls.." Lily walked down a short corridor which led to two other rooms, "Pick which suits yourself. Please, no brawls." With that the fairy rushed upstairs.

Settling in was going swell. She gave them a tour of the restaurant rooms, kitchen, and facilities after they had unpacked.

Then she brought them upstairs and showed them her apartment. As the five of them descended the steps to the kitchen Lily abruptly turned around and looked them all in the eye.

"You are here for work," she said. The look on her face proved her words true, "You will have tutoring in the mornings, an hour of recess. Then, you have an hour of study hall. After study hall you have chores to do. When the Cafe opens, you will have your tasks to go about. I do not, I repeat, do not, want you in my apartment without my permission. To put it lightly, that's a big no-no. Now get downstairs and wait for me to call you up
for dinner. And one mroe thing," Lily paused for emphasis and a breath of air, " If I ever, I mean ever, see a mess that has been unattended, I shall throw the person at fault right back to Russel Upsumgrub's Culinary Art School, is that clear?"

The four others nodded before dashing to their rooms.

At breakfast the next morning Adrienne mentioned dueling and swords. Lily shook her head at the teenager, "No, you shall not duel. That was the request of Mr. Upsumgrub, no dueling. So just forget it. Yes, you will see dueling at times. Yes, there is a ring by your bedrooms for you to use at your leisure, but NO, you will not duel officially."

Adrienne pouted at her, as did the others. Lily just shook her head at the youths, taking a bite of oatmeal.

"Well, when do we start cooking and waitressing, and all tha' good stuff, hmm?" asked Sadie.

The fairy grinned at her, "I'd say perhaps two weeks. Just keep patience kiddo."

They finished breakfast in silence.

The newcomers of Lily's household were quick to call her nicknames such as, "Mama Lily" "Lilster" "Big L" and "Mother Lily." She didn't mind, but she'd rather they stick to one or two, not four or five.

"Mama Lily?" Sadie asked.

Lily jumped around in surprise, "Yes?"

"May I go to dueling some night?"

Lily sighed, "I was afraid you'd ask that."

Sadie's eyes saddened to a blue violet, "I was afraid you'd say no," the girl then turned around.

"Gah..." Lily told her, "I'll take you the next time I go, but don't you *dare* tell the others."
