Patrons,

No one challenged me this month and I'm hacked. And since no one can seem to beat Dalamar these days, and in general I'm just bored with the entire state of the DoS and of RhyDin, I'm gonna declare myself a Renegade Baron.
This isn't out of any lack of friendship to Dal, its just out of complete and total irritation at the level of domesticity and all around nothing going on here.
So rack em up Warlords, get your little peer wins in a row and come get me, I'll take a que of however many....I really don't care, but lets keep it down to like 5, as I wouldn't want to abuse a caller for more than five duels if I can help it. And if I beat down the first five, I'll take another five, anything to make this a little more interesting....yeesh. Hopefully someone will come along and take this ring off my finger, as I am
thinking I want to go see whats on the other side of the next hill for awhile.
And to those that will try to analuze this and fit it into their little boxes, shag off, I am Valheru, and thusly you will never understand me, so don't even try. I have stated time and time again how tired of being compartmentalized and cajoled into being something I'm not, so now, I'm doin something about it, and if you don't like it, or you think it's dishonorable or disrepectful, you can pound sand for all I care....because when it
comes down to it....I was never gonna be you, and I will never be. So deal with it.
So all you back stabbers that thought I went Loyal to hide behind Dalamar, you come get you a piece now....maybe I'll turn you out just to prove to ya that even when I'm trying to lose you couldn't beat me.
Send a missive to myself and Golden via fast horse and we'll get all this going, doing and done in by next sunday, cause I tire of playing puppet, and I'm done with it, so if you got the guts, come get me.

And once again, no matter what you think, my honor is my own and its not yours to question.

What I find curious isn't the fact that Adonai is changing alignment to appease himself and leave Dal with one less loyal...
What I find even more insulting is another loyal publicly stating he'll support a renegade in his endeavors, when, to my understanding, a loyal's priority is the overlord. Oh well, I guess Seamus and Adonai have their reasonings. I'm sure I'll be told to shut up and back off, and if I don't like it, to challenge.
Want to know why I won't bother challenging people? We'd be giving these barons exactly what they want. I am going to challenge, but not Adonai or Seamus. I'm going to challenge a baron whom I think would respond honorably.
I'm not "forcing my morals", nor am I "slinging mud". We had this same discussion regarding Ace. Ace threw insults to get attention, or to boost his ego. I'm just stating that we shouldn't give people what they want. If they truly want to make a decision, let them stew around in the new situation for a while.
Just my thoughts: I'm sure I'm going to be criticized no matter what I say. Might as well say what I believe in, instead of hiding behind a mask.

::notes the thin skin of a certain Warlord has yet to heal from a slight chastisement, ponders responding but decides it will only fuel the fires and add credence to the cry of foul. Pens a small , non violent response to a post in general::

Although my loyaties do lie with the 29th Overlord of the DoS, they also lie with a friend. I do believe it was Var Medici-Giovanni who once stood on the soap box crying out that friends loyaties supercede all others, but I might be in error. Those who wish to see a plot in the works are free to imagine as they will. As for Adonai's decree, I believe Valherus are prone to mood swings and are extremely high maintenance. They need stimulation from the
day to day dull drums and merely wish to fight rather than sit idle. I will stand as a second to Adonai for any challenge tossed his way, but that does not mean I would do the same if he were to bring challenge on Dalamar. Rest assured that I remain loyal to the Overlord as well as the community at large and. And I will poke fun at my friends on these boards whether or not it seems strange to those that haven't the stones to speak to me in person or
choose to hide behind imaginary walls built by years of feeling like they are sucking hind tit and that the big boys wont play with them.

I have welcomed the critcism of my peers and I do not mean fellow Barons. I speak of those that inhabit this community. My hide is thick enough to stand the slings and arrows cast by those without knowledge. I do not run from chastisement, I feel it helps me to understand my own short comings. I would only hope this is a two way street and those that give are willing to take what is returned.

Var,

In general theres nothing wrong with your thoughts, but I have said this before and I will say it again, I supported Huma when he was a Renegade out of friendship, Seamus does the same with me, loyalty and honor are all very fine but none of it superceeds friendship, and if you believe it does, or have been forced to make such a decision yourself, then you have my sympathy.
I didn't go Renegade to disable Dalamar of one more loyal, if you haven't noticed, Dal does just fine on his own, I still like Dal, and I didn't go Renegade out of any dislike or lack of friendship for him, I am merely bored.
As far as honor is concerned, maybe Var, you should look yourself over, you consistently attack others for their lack of honor, when nothing has been directed at you. You call Seamus honorless because he supports a friends idea? That is fairly low of you Var. Maybe along with your righteous morals, and your staunch belief in what you think is right you might develop the wisdom to see the good in anything, and thusly not damn those that
were your friends for standing with their friends.
What I have done is a personal choice, and when it comes down to it, I could have really gave a damn if anyone supported me in it. I was happy to see that at least a few of my friends understood it, and I felt that there would be little problem here. Dalamar is aware its nothing personal, as is everyone else. Its a personal decision that I felt I wanted to do. So why in the name of the gods do you feel its necessary to brand a good
Baron such as Seamus as honorless merely because he stands behind a friend?
Now up to now I've dealt with your accusations fairly honorablly, but as you dig at us mayhaps I will throw a dig back at you. You call us honorless, and I call you craven, your words here have done little but sink to the level of Ace, you do not wish to challenge a Baron that will respond honorablly, which I am sure Seamus or I would depending on how you approached it, as I responded quite honorablly to Ellisa's challenge, since she
of course had no insults to throw out with her challenge, as I was saying, you do not wish to challenge a Baron will respond honorablly, you wish to challenge a Baron you can beat, and all your moralizing and sophistric whining about honor does little to change the fact that if you were to challenge me again, or Seamus, that you would go home with mayhaps your fifth challenge defeat in your pocket.
Did you bother to mayhaps think out my reasoning here? Maybe I'm bored, maybe I'm questioning my own abilities, maybe I'm wanting something more out of the title than just sitting on it, maybe anything. What it comes down to is that you got a bad habit of speaking long before you think about things, a habit I once had, but grew out of. You should never damn someone for something they've done until you know why they done it, and knowing,
and assuming, as I pointed out to Kalamere, are two hugely different things.
So then Var, please let others do what they feel they want to do without leveling your righteous blathering at them all the time, it gets so boring, and makes you look like nothing but a hypocritical hen pecker. A little wisdom would do you well, since it would in course make you much easier to approach half the time.

Now that there are 13 barons, the prospective challengers have more people to choose from to challenge. Therefore, it wouldn't be surprising if other Barons end up feeling the same way as Uziel.

The mercenary peered at the post and smirked, running his partially gloved fingers over his lips. After a moments thought he chuckled, turning to the Arena's door. An amused grin on his face as he mummered under his breath, "its a damn good thing I'm already insane." Breaking out into a light chuckle he pulled open the large door and entered the arena. Thoughts of a night in the dueling house bringing a smile apon his lips as he
strolled inside for an evening of fun.

First of all,
Yes, go with friends, Seamus. You have apparently done that. You chose which side to be on, and since you're rooting for Adonai to maintain his baronial status, as a renegade, we can see your loyalties toward Dal. Least I can. Just remember, Seamus: if I root for someone to be a warlord, when they have loyalties against you, I hope you understand how I think Dal feels. Only difference is, Dal considers (or considered, I don't know his
position) you a friend.

And Adonai, I didn't say one lacked honor. You state that we always read too deep into your words, well I didn't say anything about lacking honor. I wasn't even attacking. I could say some words to be malicious, but I wasn't intending to attack, until now.
I just want you to know, Adonai, that I, for one, am not going to give you what you want. I honestly hope others don't, either, because I want the barons to be loyal to Dal. If we put on a top hat and dance around just to entertain you, then others will too.
That ring's not a toy, Adonai. These actions seem to be a childish way to get attention. I'm the father of three, and soon to be four. Sometimes, we don't give the kiddies the attention they want.
And Adonai, I for one am not going to seek you to get an understanding. If you have something to say, word it right in the boards. Don't expect me to be asking you because of careless wording.
You already stated you were bored, so I know your reasonings. I never said I damned you or Seamus. I wasn't throwing mud, either, until this posting. Anyone is defeatable, even your little ego. The thing is, Adonai, I'm not going to hide here. My "righteous" decisions are my decisions, and I think I have a right to post them, as you do. The difference is, my "righteous" decisions don't change on loyalties. What are you going to do now
that you're bored with my "righteous" thoughts?
And as I recall, when Drake tasked you to drop the subject about shutting out Elissa in five rounds, you lashed out at her. When Seamus told me to be quiet, publicly, I realized whom he was. If Dal told you to be quiet, if Seamus did, if ANYONE did, I am sure you would lash out at them, as I would lose faith in them. I lost faith as a friend, in Seamus, as I lost faith in you, as a friend. Because of this, I question your intentions. I am
Human, as you are Valheru.
If you're bored, maybe you should read a book or something, Adonai. Least people won't think you're a jerk. Plus... I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who thinks this. The fact that you'd like to believe that I am, is sad, because your actions again and again show how full of yourself you are. I'm not the one saying, "You wish you could be righteous like me, Adonai" or "You lash out at me, because you envy me, Adonai."
I can see when I'm wrong and right, and I can see when I'm not hiding behind a mask. I don't know why you were loyal to Dal in the first place, if loyalties are so easily changed. Maybe neutral would have been more fitting, but you declare yourself renegade.
Remember: I "threw mud" back at you, when I was stating in my initial posting how I would be insulted, if I was Dal. I wasn't forcing morals, and I'm not going to kick and cry because someone doesn't agree with me. I will, however, point it out to them, and I will stand loyal to Dal, much unlike you. And, unlike you, I won't be changing loyalties to "entertain" myself. Play with that toy you have on your finger, and let Seamus play as
daddy and cheer you on.

As far as Seamus' support is concerned. I once remember Dal cheering on the opponent in a challenge against a loyal baron. Think on that. It is friendship that matters over all. Call me Adonai, I'll be there to support you.

How amusing,

My loyalties to Dal are essentially the same Var, my friendship to him is also, you think I've changed liking him because I've changed the loyalty of the ring? God your shallow.
Has nothing to do with needing attention Var, I can get attention merely by walking into a room.
Why not instead of trying to convince everyone how right you are, you just do this, post up here that you don't like me, and leave it at that, because really, your becoming as boring as the rest of this place.
As far as the rings concerned. Its my ring, and I'll play with it how I want. You don't like it....you know what you can do about it.
