Baphe, how was I sounding like a whining child wanting another cookie? It's a simple question.
I'm not going to give Adonai what he wants, because he's bored. You're right, this is a skill of warriors, but is this also a place where you act so fickle just to get a challenge or two?
To my belief, the baronial rings are supposed to symbolize honor and effort. Now I didn't take your previous words as an insult, but now it seems like you are trying to insult.
How am I whining to get a cookie? Am I the child saying, "It's mine, I do what I want with it. I'm bored, I am going to change my loyalties just to get in more challenges."?
Because I say I'm not going to give him what he wants, that makes me a child? Because I was explaining to you why I wasn't going to do so, it makes me unable to take your constructive criticism?
I already know that I could challenge him, but maybe I don't think he should be challenged. Now if my previous posting insulted you, I apologize, but I want you to realize where I'm standing here, and why I have challenged someone else.

I would like to request that no one further respond to what Var has to say about this, at least in my defense. I am more than capable of defending myself, in the ring and out of it. As far as being a child, I'm not really seeing the logic here, as being an adult means you make your own decisions and you live with them, and that is basically what I have done. So I really don't see the correllation after several days of reviewing the
argument here.
Var, like a mad weasel will only become more aggravated and more voiceferous if he is continually poked and prodded, so I ask that no one further aggravate him, as we have quite enough mad ravings from myself when the more violent side of my Valheru nature takes hold.
I did of course myself respond hotly here, but after some review I have decided to discontinue any arguments with the young man, and merely regard his views as I would other things that mean very little to me. Var thinks I am being a child for making decisions on my own, that is his right. And I will no longer say to anyone that he doesn't have the right to make that statement.
I am me, and I do what I do, and it always boils down to the one thing I have always said, if you don't like it. Do something about it. And I believe I will stand on that from here on out. If you have nothing but words for me, then I have little to say about it. Have a problem? Come armed and ready to bleed over it.

I see that neither you nor anyone else has apparently read, much less taken to heart, what I wrote on this subject...
Without any intentions of insult, harrassment or any other similar motives, again I ask... why did you once complain that you were challenged at the soonest available time, and now complain when you are not challenged?
Again, if you are bored, spend some time with your rather wonderfully active daughter. Even better, ask her if there's anything she'd like you to do for a day... I'm -sure- you won't be bored.

He was a bit....disturbed...at all the messages slung back and forth across the old cork. Not really having anything to say, he kept out of it, not even reading most of the worst postings. However, as the Baron's council wound down their deliberations as the the Outcome of the 11th Ring, he could not help but think about a possible connection between in Council and the Baron Uziel's change in alignment. The two had
occurred rather close to each other, although that may have been coincidence. Neutral Baron Daegarth (and Leto, in a way) was
now thinking of him as a renegade in the terms needed by the discussion, but did he fail to realize that the Baron was not actually Renegade in political leanings?
The more he thought about it, the no closer he got to forming the connection completely. The notice of change of alignment was received only in the early part of the discussion, thought about even earlier. Could Uziel have forseen the direction th discussions would go? Did he have others "in on it"? The questions haunted him continuously.
As he passed the cork board and wondered at the possiblities, he just shook his head, figuring he just was just acting like some kind of conspiracy theorist, and tossed the idea away. A notice he was to post was in stead ripped into many pieces and thrown away. The came with letters to the others on the council on the matter. No mention would be made. Perhaps it was...perhaps....perhaps many things. He knew he could not support anything save
what Baron Daegarth proposed, for fear of splitting the non-Loyal vote. Perhaps he could try to, but he felt too stuck, needing to stay with the supposed status quo for his alignment. He decided not to pen anything extra to the Barons, feeling the matter basically settled, his vote cast, with the decision of numerous Barons still yet to come.
