::walks up to the posting board, and with a shaking hand pins up the following notice::

To Adeena Maeax (Red zealot),

It is with great honor that i make this challenge to one of the greatest barons, and duelers to ever grace the arena, for the 6th barons ring. Although i have never witnessed your fighting skill in person, i have read many a story about you it the great history books. I myself have only been around a short while, and this too adds to my not knowing many peoples around the arena. Yet i have worked my way up the ranks, as we all have at one point,
and am now ready to see if i can advance any further. Of course i do not go into this blindly....i do have reasons for wishing to duel one of your skill. I fear that if i did not provide these reasons that i would be showing a great disrespect to you, and all others of the arena. So to avoid the criticism, or at least minimalize it i offer to all these reasons for my wishing to duel you.

As i have stated I hold you in the highest respect for all your accomplishments. You have proven yourself to be one of the greatest of all times. And i believe it is only natural for me to want to test myself against you and your skills. Many do not know me because i am realitvley new here, but i love a challenge. And i know that you will provided the challenge to me. Second.....is the fact that i have yet to meet you. Your absence from the ring
for the last two months has made it so i have been unable to meet you. (I can really only say the last month cause that is how long i have been around....tomorow the 11th being my one month aniversery) So i hope that through my challenge i will be able to pull you back into the ring, not only to test myself, but to meet such a skilled person too. The third reason.......well some may call it selfish, but as humans i believe we all seek to grow....and
better ourselves. By challenging you i will be doing just this. The knowledge I gain, win or lose from this duel will be well worth it to me. For it is through failure that success is achived. This knowledge will carry with me for the rest of my dueling days. And of course to be honest...who wouldn't want to be a baron?

Yes there are 14 other people to challenge , not taking into count the other challenges out there right now. Yet i hope i have provided to you ample reasons for my challenge to you. I hope they are satisfactory to all who read them. I now give my Peer wins to show that i indeed have earned the right to make this challenge.

9 X Gnort X 5-30-98 Scad 5-4 10
10 Sartan Z 5-30-98 Quake 6-4.5 14

You have faught in many challenges before, and once even called out for them. I hope you will take mine into consideration now. I thank you for your time. I only hope that i have in no way offended you with my challenge, and if i did i am sorry for it. I hope that you respond with relative speed to my challenge, so that i do not pull out all my hair waiting for an answer. Once again thank you.

I have experienced Shiv's dueling and it is very great at that. Any ones who think Shiv is challenging prematurely...he may very well be. But, I know he has the knowledge, courage, and integrity worthy of challenging. I myself challenged...well...early. And I'm sure hes taken into account the responsibilities.

Warlord Avery,

Though I might find your challenge as well premature for having just recently achieved Warlord, your mannerisms and reasons otherwise are most noteworthy. If others of your generation of duelers of this new era of DoS learned by your example I forsee a much better future around the rings of the Arena.

:: Idly notes with interest an individual that fed on apprentices at Twilight Isle, that was scared to duel up ranks in any venue, and purposely sought out new duelers at most venues choose to challenge Adeena. Frowns at the fact the challenge was issued mere hours..at best after the standings we posted. :: <mumbles> I hope I wasnt like that when I first arrived.

((the above only personal feelings about the situation not known to any but those directly voiced too))

:: takes on the cork board ::

Young Warlord,

Good luck in your excitement and enthusiasm in the duels.

Baroness,

If I may be so bold.... Give him an appropriate welcome to the Challenge environments and kick some heiny

Dex,

I probably shouldn't be saying this, afterall those were your thoughts, itntended for non other than yourself....Yet still the posting of them is a direct acusation against me. I will say the aere well spoken arguments too. I am a young dueler. Still in diapers. I knew this would be the majority of the critisism out there against me. But i cant change that. I tyr to let my honor for everyone and the arena pave the way for my journey. Come now i ask
you...is that really the way you see it. I purposly attack the young duelers. I am a young dueler. And yes...in twillight island i duel many a young dueler.....but have you ever watched those duels.....i make no attempt to capatilize on them...i only use the spells they use, and none others that i have earned the right to use. And on the second point, who else is around the Island. Yes lately there have been more people around, and latley i have been
dueling those people. But i have faught my fare share of the higher ranks...at least those that were around. Yet fighting the same people over and over becomes dull, and so i fight others on there level. Is it wrong to duel someone with equal status. I do not prey on the new peoples....they are the only ones around..nor do i not fight the higher ranks. There are many who could stand witness that in the outback i have faught many a emeralds, and
sapphires, and higher ranks. After all i was a glass for a whole month in that arena...so i was forced to fight the higher ranks. And in the hardest of arenas, DoS i have stated my opinion before. It was from respect, and lack of knowledege that i kept to the lower ranks. I respect all who have the courage to step into the ring....and those that are better with there skill than I, i respect even more. For it is their experience that has earned them
their honor, and my respect. Yes i did not fight them...is that wrong....is it wrong to stay within you level to learn and grow. It hasn't hurt me....for i have learned, and hold a modest winning record even now against my peers. Yet if you check i seldom fight using more skill than my opponet posseses. I lower myself dowen to there rank.... unless they choose to want to fight me otherwise. But only in DoS did i shy away from the higher level
competion. In all other areas i have faught with the gifted. Assuming the gifted was there to fight. You must remember one thing. I am an infant to this world of dueling. Others take different views...they challenge the higher ranks in DoS to gain experience...i chose the other path.....i stayed at my level. Then i gradually moved up. It happened all so fast...over two weeks. But i have held my own agaisnt the skilled Peers in this arena. Now as i
stated...your views are yours to have...and i will respect them....I only felt a need to justify my ways of dueling....instead of being draged through the mud.

Sister Adeena

May Justicant strike true. It might be interesting to hear Avery singing in the key of high C.
