Sirs and Madams,
I find your protests appalling. Is it not in our nature as MEN to constantly strive to always move forwards? Are we not to issue challenges because we "like" someone? My father IS a man of honor despite whatever nonsense is written on this board. I do not feel the need to tear down anyone in the DoS, your opinions are your own and you have every right is them. But I do wonder why my father's challenge should upset some of you to the point
where your honor becomes little more than a covering for your own agendas.
My father, you of course, have my love and my sword is at your command. Dalamar, I have always honored you as my father and mother taught me to. My sword is also yours as my Overlord. May the Goddess smile upon the victor and the vanquished.

To all here who defile Honor,
Your petty wranglins remind me o' bluejays screechin in a thicket, all noise. Adonai's reasons for challengin Dal are his own, regardless o' the why o' it. Do you nae have faith that Dal can overcome this challenge? Your protests and mutterins begin te look like panic at that thought that Adonai might just beat Dalamar. Personally, I believe that the opponents be well matched in the rings and twill be a good duel. As for the
Renegade/ Loyalist/ Neutral titles, well as much as I like Dalamar and Adonai.... I woul' be renegade nae matter WHO be Overlord simply because I bow down te nae livin' man or woman as me better. The name o' this game is RANK, friends... no matter how much mud ye sling te cover the issue.
And have a care as ye sling the word Honor about, for tis a much deeper thing than ye make it out te be.

For one who has consistently whined about others drawing assumptions from your written words, you are certainly quick to draw them for yourself. Were you to glance again at my previous missive, you will find that at no time did I claim your challenge was "rooted in deceit or ill will."



I do not claim that there are political reasons behind this challenge, nor do I believe such political maneuvering is a necessity to challenges. As you and many others continue to state, your reasons are your own, and I have not even questioned those.



You see, no matter your reason at this point, the fact of the matter is that you lied. You *swore* on your honor and your sword that you would defend Dalamar's right to wear the crown of Overlord, yet now, simply because you are bored, you will try to take it from him. As far as I can tell, your word means nothing to you and it is this with which I find issue.



Go on with the challenge, I certainly don't wish it to be withdrawn. I voiced my support for Dalamar and suggested that if he employs a champion that it be one who can directly challenge you if victorious... personally I think a commoner would be a good choice.



I believe you have stated that we are each entitled to our own opinions so long as we do not attempt to force them on others. Simply stated, this is mine.

Peoples,

I usually don't jump into these things. So I won't. Let me just point out that the Overlordship as well as Baron titles are a public and very political titles to hold. Its the whole reason for them, to better the DoS. When someone challenges for one of those titles I believe his intentions should be public, for it is a public matter. For whomever sits atop as Overlord will reflect the DoS in general. The Overlord is a representative of us all.
People look at the DoS, they will look to the leaders foremost. If our Overlord was dishonorable then someone viewing the DoS will think the DoS in a whole is a bunch of dishonorable souls. I do hope you see the simple point here. If not, "Ah well" I tried...

For reasons which are well known to most of the dueling community I am supporting Adonai in his bid for the crown of OverLord. Any who don't know can ask me personally.

Only Adonai knows the reasons for his choice to exercise his right to challenge. His motives are not ours to question or judge. The skill of his blade is what matters here. His challenge is valid and was accepted by Dalamar.

I pray you will remember this statement the next time you feel the urge to question or judge another, in friendship OR in opposition.



Lord Adonai is a public figure, and therefore open to criticism. While my personal position is well-documented, and while I at the same time find much of the criticism of his actions to be foundless, the fact is that everyone is entitled to speak their mind. If one does not wish one's actions criticized, one should not act. If one cannot abide the utterance of said criticisms, one should not listen.



Until everyone realizes the reality of such simple truths, however, I fear that this, like so many other things these days, simply does not matter.

Braver and more honorable men have done worse things out of selfishness and out of the need for glory than any of this. Not that this is any comment on the bravery or honor of Adonai.
I support tha stance that ya took and look at it as an honorable gesture. Many grab a ring and then run off biting nails ery day tha passes in hopes and fears tha they mey be challenged. Tha in itself would say to me that they are not worthy ta hold tha honor.
If they question theur ability ta defend tha ring then do not claim tha prize. When I held tha third een fer tha breif time tha I did I did nae fear a challenge thinking myself worthy ta hold i' an fearing none tha would challenge me even to tha day tha a better and more worthy one won it.
Go forth in honor and challenge whom ya may an fight them tha' challenge ya in yer position and do i' as ya are.
