To the duelers of Swords,

Though I do not regret, nor am I writing to apologize for any such actions as I had at the Overlord match tonight, I feel I should at least explain why I commited to such actions. Baron Jeffery, and Overlord Dalamar know from my own lips it was not personally against them as individuals that I commited to such actions, and I have reached understanding with them. I was asked by the Baron Adonai to interceede and the reasons I agreed were thus;

I had offered my blade to the Overlord and he simply refused because he felt there were better options if he choose to use the Test of Worthiness. For me it was not an insult directly but it fueled my drive to prove my worth of skill in the ring, especially when the fate of the history of Swords hangs in the balance. I hope I have at least proved my worth by the blade for skill at arms to the community, and indeed to the Overlord. I am no longer
an emperor, nor the champion of a powerful noble House, I am simply a lone warrior now. And for me the only reputation I have to uphold is my skill and honor by the blade. Since I have returned and been reinstated to Warlord I duel for my own glory and for my own satisfaction as is my will.

And with knowing I can effect the balance of power with the skill of my blade, I shall endevor to try and maintain the balance of the rings as is my nature. Balance of course to my own opinions, but ones I find positive. Though the Baron lost and the Overlord remains the same for over a year the balance has obviously remained weighed to one side. I simply wish to keep those who would seek title or defend title on thier toes to aspire to improve
themselves not only with honor but with skill. The only major thing I could forsee as a problem with Dalamar's reign due to no fault of his own is complacency and taken for granted the simple courtesies of the rings. The fire in DoS burns low at barerly a flicker, it is time for it to ignite and spread to a Arena wide call to arms. There is little drive and hope it seems in the will of the duelers, though I have not been back long enough to tell
for sure completely.

History could have been changed tonight yet it remains the same, as one any given day in the Arena of Swords it can happen. For those who do aspire do not give up, for those who wish to remain as they are keep thee well defended and vigilant. I am not offering opinion who I thinks makes a better Overlord or Baron or why they would be better. For me, my loyalty is to the rings themselves and to myself for now. I felt what I did tonight was
neccessary to try and rekindle the fire of DoS.

You may think whatever of me and I am sure I have made a few foe this night and others probably feel I championed some Anti-Dal movement. I have at least explained my will as a warrior of these rings and at least for now can back it up with my blade. If any find issue with me then we can settle it like warriors of this sport in the ring. Until then, as always I look forward to clashing with my comrades in contest within these honored rings.

Honor to thyself, Respect to others,

Baphelocutis est Lathadoscia

Worry not Baph. At least from me there are things that are done because you have to do them...
Daryl Kyle,
See the truth, for I am here.
