Did you understand the point of my post? It was a reply to someone who complained anonymously that s/he had honor and it was a burden to have to carry it because no one else did.

Perhaps you didn't quite catch the entire text that was posted, but please believe that I cried no direct insult to any individual.
The text states that there are a few who still carry honor, not one, not two, but a few. The text was more an indication that many of the truely honorable duelers of the past had left the sport, leaving those few to carry on.
A final observation... While I see there are only a small percentage of duelers who value honor highly... I can, at the least, be glad there is only a small percentage who do not value honor at all.

But it seemed to say that you were so proud to be one of those few who had honor, especially since no one else had any-- seemingly a slight to the rest of us.
But I will agree that many of the old, highly regarded duelists are gone now. But still, I think there are new ones coming up who are very honorable in their own right.

Actually Phil, without getting into the meat of this argument as a whole, I must disagree. Emotion is what is in our hearts and it is a powerfull thing. Love, anger, envy.. and many others. Strong feelings that, if not occassoinally checked, can cause us to act too rash.
Our sense of honor is one thing that allows us to keep those emotions in check... to sometimes push aside what it is our heart tells us to do, in exchange for what is right and just.
