Step 1: On a dueling night, devote your entire evening to dueling. Finally stop when you make the Warlord rank. (May take more than one night)
Step 2: Challange a baron who you have beaten before, or think you can beat. Then.. beat him.
Step 3: After you take his ring, go renegade.
Step 4: Challenge the Overlord. Then... beat the Overlord. (How hard can it be?)
Congratulations, you are now the new Overlord of Rhydin. Use your new found title to impress newbies, and mock Warlords.

This is how you do it:
Week 1: Become a Warlord.
Week 2: Get 15 peer wins.
Week 3: Challenge and win.
There you have it. The easy three-week plan to becoming the New Overlord. And once you're overlord, if someone challenges and defeats you, you can disappear again, having spent only four weeks in the ring but now having your name in the books as a Former Overlord.
(Disclaimer: Not all followers of the Three Week Plan meet with equal success. Success is based on one's ability to gain the 15 WoL required to be warlord, then gain the 15 peer wins required to challenge, and also to be successful in the challenge. The author of the Three Week Plan holds no liability for any failures or shortcomings you might encounter while trying the Three Week Plan.)

Well I suppose stayin exactly even on WoL aint too bad but I think at the rate I am goin I am gonna have ta come up with a 5 year plan if I even had any desire to be an OL. ::tacks his current standings up on a sticky note:: 30-30-3 not bad for this cycle if I do say so myself ::snickers::

2) You've accumulated in excess of fifty peer wins, having chosen not to challenge for your own reasons.
3) You've been consistantly in the top ten of the WarLord's rankings, even holding the number one spot upon occasion for the past two cycles.
4) You reach a personal goal of achieving fourty... no, make that fifty wins more than losses.
5) You go to make a challenge, and while arranging the details, find someone has challenged, then beaten, the ring-holder you had expected to duel.
6) You could really care less about being the Overlord, and really don't mind if Dalamar stays there another turn of the seasons.
Any ideas?

Well, having been through a few variations of the listed above, I can say this:
1: You challenge someone else, and lose horribly.
2: You challenge the same guy again, and lose again.
3: You challenge another guy because the one you challenged twice doesn't have the ring anymore.
4: You lose.
5: You challenge the second guy for the second time, and lose again due to a Test of Worthiness.
6: You sit back and wait.
Well, it's not a list to follow, mind you. Just my own past experience.

Now that I'm on the DL for a while, I have time to tackle these messages,

Is over two years a sufficient amount of time? No one is special for being a Warlord with lots of peer wins and not challenging, just as it doesn't make one special when one challenges. This small things mean little.
The important thing, in my view of course, is character, pride, and an honor and duty to the sport. Admirable to have a high WoL ratio, admirable to have many peer wins, and a tribute to obvious skill, or a lot of time.
I pose this questio though, who is more admirable, this skilled Warlord, bragging about it's accomplishments, or the commoner, who, with a record of 1-21-0, gratefully pays respects to both caller and opponent everytime another duel ends in a loss, and who returns because of the sport?
Simple thoughts,
