Lady Drake writes,
"The Council punished Methous for failing to show for his duel, and his other disrespectful and unhonorable actions... The Staff punished Methous for his destruction of the 8th Ring"
I'm am still a bit confused by this ruling. Because Methous has no allies nobady is making a big fuss over it but it doesn't seem right to me. The council was told to disregard what was done to the 8th ring when making their descion but some have publicy stated they did anyway. We have had disrespectful and unhonorable barons in the past but they have held their ring because of their skill. The council should NOT judge morals. Was the council
planning on taking his title away before this challenge because of his honor or lack of? This was just used to help push a punishment on the baron.......and why was he punished? Was it because he notified Aspen via mail that he would not be able to show and then didn't show? He failed to show for the challenge and told his challenger in advance of this. Why wasn't the match resheduled? How many times did it take Agrenish to get in the ring with
Unagi? Agrenish wasn't punished because Unagi was a honourable overlord. Aspen was unhonourable when he disregarded Methous request for a change in time for the challenge was he not? Why wasn't Aspen punished on the same grounds as Methous for his "disrespectful and unhonorable actions". I think I have rambled far enough....

Because at the time Fala, I didn't know of the ability to have an extension on my challenge to Methous and I had a tripped planned for the 2 weeks following. My trip has been canceled. If at the time of the request for a rescheduling I had know of the ability to have my challenge extended I would have requested that instead of the council to interseed.
Simply,

Indeed, as Percy stated, I would like to know what exactly did the Staff do to punish Methous. I certainly hope this *very* public desecration of a symbol of this Sport does not get punished behind closed doors and deemed hush-hush.

::pens quickly::
This has all been discussed, thoroughly, I might add. Why can't you just drop it, and move to the next arguement?

Thou wert verra well aware thee hae th' choice 'o reschedulin' yuir duel. Dinna twist th' happenin's, sirrah. Thee choose nae t' reschedule, an thou wert asked specifically more th' once if'n thee were certain th' thee wished th' matter t' go unta th' Council. Thee were within thine rights ta send th' matter t' th' Council, indeed, yet dinna deign ta say thee were nae aware 'o thine options.

Because most people here love beating a dead horse. Besides, they need to bicker and argue over something. After a while, you learn to ignore it.

>>Beleive what you want Jona, I hold the truth in my heart..<<
As much as it pains me to defend Jona, I have to comment on this. Aspen, all you hold in your heart is a slice of ambition, a chunk of narcicissm, and a dram of self pity. Which you have well seasoned with excuses. Methous sent you a letter asking to reschedule, you refused and demanded a forfeit. Yes, Methous's behavior was inexcusable. However, yours was just as bad. As long as you keep mentioning 'the truth', people will be around to rub
your nose in the *facts*.
For that, you have only your behavior to blame.

As I previously stated, I know the truth of the matter. I try not to pick at what other people say. But for once just once why don't you actually come out from your hole and say what is in your heart. In mine I hold regret for not just dueling the SoB even when he showed up late. Unfortunately I can't correct the mistake. There was no way that
everyone could have been appeased at whatever decision I or the council made. And as for me, I do I'll admit act without honor or intelligence at times. I could give you excuses for why I am like that, I just am that way sometimes. I would also like to say, Go bite yourself.
Sincerely,
Aspen

I suggest Methous be banned from dueling for the period of one full cycle, effective before the tournament and to end 31 days from his initial banning. This would'nt be the first person to be banned from dueling and I feel it is a good measure to deal with people that act as he did.
