Sidartha,

While Lupton was allegedly part of one such attempt to do as I mention, that was but one of two such plots in under a years time. The point is relevant, not to injure Lupton, but to remind those who find this House "terroristic" that we have experienced much worse. It was simply an added benefit that Lupton was the first to address them as such.

As to the issue being well in the past and mentioning it akin to beating a dead horse, I disagree. I find that if we do not, on occasion, open the closet, we sometimes forget what skeletons lie within. Remembering the past is the only way to avoid repeating such things in the future, especially when so many new duelists know nothing of the details.

>>I have only one thing to say. Two wrongs do not make a right. To not meet an opponent with honor is unsportsmanlike even if your opponent has no honor. It is wrong to sink to their level.<<

Percival~

You are thinking of only yourself and not of the community as a whole when you write this. It's not about honor and sportsmanship. It's about keeping someone with a potential to ruin this community from a position of power.

Think about the community for once, and not your own bloody honor.

>>The accusation that we are a "terrorist" group in anyway is somewhat offensive to me. "Terrorists" perform illegal actions, kill innocent people, and attempt to create a climate of fear. Such is not our intent at all. Indeed, we wish a climate of friendship, sportsmanship, and fair play.<<

At all costs? With the way you described the mission of your House, it would seem that you want a climate of friendship, sportsmanship and fair play, or else. This is a community of diversity and it seems that you wish to stamp out this diversity in order to bring in your ideals as the rule.

I do not support any House that would willingly allow someone totally unqualified for the Overlordship (ie an idiot, a tyrant, etc) to attain the title, simply because they oppose the Test, no matter what the situation.<<

Lady Eglarette...

Well said. With those two statements, you have struck to the heart of the matter.
As for my own words... To lead by example is one thing, to lead by enforcement of one's ideals is wrong.
As I have said many times before, if you do not agree with the Overlord's politics, style or actions, then issue challenge. If you cannot challenge, then bide your time until you can, or convince someone of like mind to challenge.
Any other course of action is, in -my- opinion, meaninglessly futile.

I am thinking of the community. I could care less about myself. The good of the community is served by the community acting in an honorable and sportsmanlike fashion. Not by acting like vigilantes.

Understandable. Though the idea of it having been much worse is a matter of opinion. The potential harm of this is much worse, in my mind.

::To tired to write, just pulls out a peice of paper and tacks it up::

Okay...We have all these basicly useless opinions and the such...Now what does the overlord think about it? I mean...Most of you jump to the defense against the house...Some to the defense for the house...Some even the offense against it. What's so good about guilty untill proven innocent. Where's the respect and such in that? Some people have automaticly assumed they're right. Maybe the house is wrong. Maybe alot of people are just jumping to
conclusions...So...If there's an answer to this stuff...I'd sure like to hear one or two...

Sick and tired,
~Hunter.

I, for one, will be impressed with "House Rising" -only- if you're able to dethrone Dalamar -- and keep him dethroned. Unfortunately, you won't have the opportunity to do that, considering that I'll be ending Dalamar's reign in five swift rounds after I earn my next intercession free challenge when I take first prize in the Tournament.

Have a nice day,
-Skyler-

Having enough peer wins only gives a dueler the right to challenge, it does not prove their worthiness to actually fight the duel. The Test of Worthiness is in the rules for just that reason: test worthiness of those with enough peer wins who formally request to challenge.

You know, I am about to make a personal attack here. I'm sorry, I try not to, but it needs to be said.

Skyler, when you lose the first round of the Tournament, I will laugh.
When you get the wins to attack the Over Lord, I will beg him to shove the Test at you so that he will not have to waste his time on you.

Again, my oppologies to the general commuinity.

Walks Unseen,

Maybe you oughtta know more about the history of these two before you make comments like that.

Skyler,

As of tonight, I have regained my status as WarLord after an unfortunate losing streak that plagued me for a month or so. As for your going undefeated for the second tourney in a row.... I still wish you luck.... but, I'll be doing my best to put a stop to it.

Shouldn't a guy be able to talk out of his butt for a little while? That's what I am doing when I say I'll win the tournament. For all I know, I could lose in the first round.

"Walks Unseen," where the heck did you come from? Are you one of those pieces of worm-ridden filth who calls yourself a dueler and attempts to meddle in political affairs that don't concern you because you're a rude, pompous and insignificant Commoner?

Did I read you correctly? You said you would "beg" Dalamar to Test me? This is precisely what's wrong with our community today. Anyone who "begs" Dalamar is nothing but a gutless sheep who will claim undying loyalty to WHOEVER is Overlord at the time, simply to gain social acceptance with the highest rank. For this, Walks Unseen, you are deserving of deep insult. You are a pusillanimous, asinine coward who will live a life of a spineless, milksop
jellyfish as you ignorantly attempt to boost your public relations by spouting meaningless insults.

By the way, "Apologies" starts with an "A" and community is spelled "Community," you illiterate piece of pig vomit.

Keeping walking unseen, Walks Unseen,

>>But would you, in good coscience defend someone who has claimed to have murdered another man in cold blood? Because if what you're saying you'll stand behind were in effect for Dal's challenge against Gaejin, that's precisely what you would have been doing.<<

Collie reads this part of Gnort's post again and again and sighs tacking up a note..

He killed Rad in front of many of you .. and claims he murdered Draven. We are talking a known cold-blooded killer.

::Wanders by the board, cracking her gum, unseen by a soul::

Well. I'd test everyone, so no one could whine. That's what I'd do. Yeah, bob. Everyone. And their Grandma. Maybe distant aunts and uncles, too. Or maybe I'd beat the crap out of Gnort before every round, for good luck. Then I wouldn't need the test. Hm. There's a thought.

Just a bit curious, nothing real important, what do you view as "street trash?"

::Tacks up a small post to Blanc::
I am intrested in the House Rising, for I feel sportsmanship should be encouraged and I am mixed with the issue of the Test of Worthiness
