I am forced to agree with you here, Mistress Jonalyn. I realize now that confronting this God wouldn't be the best thing to do. But finding the dark-souled one who would use a child in such a morbid way just to prove a point may be much harder than it seems.

It is a sad day to hear about a child's death. How it happened, I do not know, but I do not believe that the death was intended.
If someone wishes to condemn Edible for something that most likely wasn't intended, then I suggest someone else take the blame, and not Edible.
As Auritan suggested, enforced by Jona's observations that the child has dueled before without harm, it is apparent someone has tampered with the ward and concealed such actions.
If someone has, indeed, tampered with the ward, then I suggest sending them to meet the child to offer an apology. I doubt, however, that it will happen, for I believe the child's resting peacefully in the Heavens, while the person at fault for the child's death will, without a doubt, reside in a dark land of fire while a devil feasts off of the guilty one's body.
