Stormy stood on the mountain top. She was over looking a dale that held a town known as Rhydin. From this distance, it looked peaceful, almost like a painted town, one that only existed in the artist's mind. Turning her gaze behind her, she saw her husband still gathering up what he would bring.
"Love, are you certain, that there is where you wish to go?" He nodded in response. It had taken her months of failures before she manage a humanoid form. She envied the ease at which her husband could shift from a solid form, to a liquid, then to a gaseous form, by simply adjusting his internal temperature. It was a little more difficult for her.
"I shall go ahead and foretell of your arrival." With that, she took to the skies. She gathered up her mass. There was no need to rush, soon the entire dale would know of her husband's emanent arrival. Why he had chosen this place, as always, remained a mystery to her.
She gathered the last of her mass, as some always wandered off when she was in humanoid form, and spoke. Not in the words of man but the words of her domain, the skies. To the people in the dale, they heard only the rumblings of thunder, finalized by a crash of lightning.
"People of Rhydin, Duelist of Swords in particular, A new age is soon to be upon you. Before you can pass from the stagnant state you are in, a cleansing is necessary. Prepare yourselves to be baptized into this new age. Make ready, here comes THE RAIN."
Here comes the Rain

Rain took his duty very seriously. The forces that be demanded a cleansing. The town of Rhydin, an arena in particular had slowly been dying. The life of the land being sucked away by the mass people gathered in one space. There were as of last count, over 480 ranked duelists. Over 270 of those held the rank of commoner, a rank he would soon join.
The life of many of these duelers had become too hectic. Far more than he knew would admit took themselves way too seriously. He was to go among them. That was his calling. To remind them of that which they had forgotten. A musty arena is a far cry from the scent of the fields after the rain. Even the fields of battle would be cleansed by his passing.
He nodded to his wife and sent her on ahead. Soon the dale would know of his arrival. They would fear him, mock him, challenge him, all over some percieved threat. He coveted not their titles or rings. He only wished to enrich their lives. He hoped to meet them all. To have some affect on their mundane lives. He hoped they would remember their days as children of running in the rain, of playing in the puddles left in his wake.
He smiled hearing his wife's warning. Yes, a cleansing was necessary and long overdue.
Citizens of Rhydin, you were all children once. I invite you all on a journey back to those days. Back to a time when the thing that upset you the most was not being allowed to play in the rain. You're all adults now, play in the rain all you want. Relax, have some fun. I come here to PLAY and wish you all will join me. Yes indeed, HERE COMES the RAIN.

::Peers out the window, casting a critical eye to the storm clouds.::
<m> I don't mind the rain, but it's too dranned cold outside to be playing in it... I'm sick enough as it is.
Look buddy... if you want to play, come in here where it's dry!
