Patrons of the Duel of Swords,

I, Adonai Uziel, Bearer of the Seventh Ring of the Duel of Swords, do hereby accept the rightful challenge of the Warlord Var Medici-Giovanni. His reasons were his own, as he stated in a personal letter to me, but then he must have changed his thoughts as what he stated in his challenge were the exact reasons he had said he had wished to not air publically. So I feel little if no reason to go back over them.

But in a break with tradition it seems, I will meet with the challenger this Saturday evening at 9PM EST. As I have little, if no want or need to drag this out unnecessarily.

As a Loyal, I have asked Lord Dalamar to not interceed upon this challenge. Not out of particular sense of worthiness, or lack thereof on the challengers part. But out of a deep felt need to cement this ring. I won it with my blade. And I shall defend it.

RDI Reiver has tirelessly agreed to call our match on this very short notice. My Lady of Honor shall of course be the Lady Ariana, who my heart beats truly for every waking hour. And my Second shall be my friend, The Renegade Baron Huma Dragons Bane. Whom, it seems, my staunch and unwavering friendship for has spurred this entire affair.

In closing, I state that it is a sad day when a man is seen as wrong for defending a friend.
