The results of the Challenge for the First Ring (RDI Girvin)

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Duel of Swords!

Let it be known that I, Brian Girvin, did officiate at the challenge for the the First Baroness's ring on or about the 27 of the second month of the year 1998, by common reckoning. Both duelers did meet well and did honor to themselves and to the sport bearing no grudge as they entered into the competition for the prize of the First Ring.

By round, these are the results:

Baroness Kaprielle: Warlord Evan:
1) Thrust (1) Thrust
2) High Cut (2) Fancy Duck
3) Thrust (3) Fancy Circular Parry
4) Fancy Circular Parry (4) High Cut
5) Stop Hit (5) Thrust
6) Fancy Duck (6) Fancy Circular Parry
7) Low Cut (7) Thrust

In thus, the Baroness was defeated by a margin of five points to three in seven rounds. The new Baron decleared his alignment on the field of Battle. He announced himself Renagade to the Overlord.

It is with heavy heart for my friend and hope for the new baron that I thank them both for the extreme honor of calling their challenge and hope they did find my first calling of a challenge to be fitting of the honor bestowed on me.
